Summary: In II Corinthians 5 Paul writes that we who have been reconciled to God have been entrusted with the message of reconciliation. The question is: how do we most powerfully and effectively proclaim that message? What we see in the early church of Acts is that it is through a community of reconciled people that the message of reconciliation is best shared.

Summary: A not so current yet still popular trend in the church today is the importance placed on community, almost to the point where community is held up to be the ultimate goal. But should it be? Or is there a purpose for community that goes far beyond the walls of the church?
Summary: Genesis 3 tells us that in the aftermath of Adam and Eve's sin in their shame and guilt they clothe themselves and hide from God, it's the first act of hypocrisy in the Scripture. The interesting thing is God comes along and takes away their clothing and gives Him His? Why? This message, which ends this series, addresses that question.
Summary: The role and call of the prophet in the OT was a thankless one based on the fact that much of the time the people of God were living in sin and idolatry with God often having to call them to repentance with dire repercussions if they didn't. Micah was one such prophet but mixed into Micah's words of warning and calls to repentance was the promise of a Redeemer, one who would make forgiveness and transformation possible.
Summary: Everyone worships, everyone. We may not worship the same thing but we all worship something or someone. God's highest aim is that all people worship or glorify Him as their greatest treasure, a call basking in the greatest gift that God could give us: Himself.
Summary: Have you ever wondered why many people avoid going below the surface in their every day relationships? Many of our relationships are lived out as surface relationships. Jesus took time and intentionally dived into the depths of peoples lives. By example He shows us how we can meet people as they are, and introduce them to Himself. Your calling as a follower of Christ is to live and minister below the surface, to bring light to the depths and darkness of those around us. Join me as we study John 4:1-42, Jesus and the Woman of Samaria.
Summary: One of the most beautiful short love stories in the bible, Ruth depicts God's hand of providence - working all things for His glory and our joy. Although if it were a film, it would likely be released as a 'chick flick' - it might better be presented as a hybrid of Rambo & Nacho Libre - because Boaz is one of the dudeliest dudes in the entire bible. The Gospel theme of the story is redemption - Ruth's redemption by Boaz - pointing to our redemption by Jesus. In addition, Boaz presents a great picture of biblical manhood while Ruth beautifully depicts biblical femininity. They are role models of the highest calibre. Jesus comes to us as the uber-Boaz - the Redeemer who pays our ransom - transforming our hearts, inviting us into His family & setting us free.
