As we come to Revelation 4 the vision John sees changes. He looks and sees a throne in heaven, occupied and surrounded by worshipers. But what does all this mean? How is the existence of a throne in heaven meant to change our lives today? And what is revealed about the one who sits on the throne?
In this message, which is in response to last week's, we look at the ways Jesus strengthens the church for the battle we wage against our chief enemy, Satan himself.
The book of Revelation is written originally by Jesus through John to 7 churches located in Asia Minor. In this message we do a flyover of chapters 2 and 3 and discover what Jesus tells them then - and us today - about Satan's tactics used in opposition to the church.
When John was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, what did he see? This message breaks down the wonder of Jesus - the Son of Man - and why He calls us to not be afraid.
In this kick off message to our series on Revelation we lay the ground work for understanding the genre - apocalyptic - the book was written in. As well, we unpack the first three verses of chapter 1 setting the stage for what comes next.
After seeing the origin of and the solution to the unrest in our world we will now turn our attention to the act of rest in the Christian life. How are we supposed to be people of rest in the midst of so much unrest? And how can we effectively offer the rest that God has given us to the people in our lives?
As we come to the end of one year and get ready to begin another we'll do a little bit of reflecting on the events of our world in 2015. How does the Bible help us understand the unrest in ourselves and our world? And how can we move through the unrest to a place of ultimate rest?
In this Christmas Eve message that finishes off our "To Us a Son is Given" series, we see how the names of Jesus aren't merely used to identify Him but explain who He was and what He came to accomplish.
Last week we saw that the primary motivation for God in sending His Son to us was incomprehensible love. Today out of Paul's letter to the Galatians we will look at part of what God's love, expressed in Jesus, has accomplished for us.
We begin a short Christmas Series today entitled, To Us a Son is Given. In this message coming out of John 3:16-21 we look specifically at what kind of love it was that spurred the sending of Jesus.
