Let's talk about a topic that doesn't get nearly enough attention in the world of business - letting someone go. We all know it's not easy, stirring up emotions and causing sleepless nights. I've been there, and I want you to know that you're not alone in this sucky part of being a mom in business. In a perfect world, we wouldn't have to let anyone go, and nobody would ever leave. But change is inevitable, and it propels us ALL toward growth, even if it feels scary. When I shared my experience with other female business owners, I realized that many of them were silently struggling with the same dilemma. So, in today's podcast, let's break the silence and learn from each other.
The biggest obstacle I've seen holding back small business owners is staying within their comfort zone and sticking to what they already know works. But guess what? The sky's the limit, my friend! There are countless ways to grow, make money, and learn. And you know what they say - you only know what you know! If you've been keeping to the same town, the same mentors, and the same examples, you're putting a cap on your own potential. Take it from me, 13 years ago, when I was just a little 18-year-old Kylee with big dreams. Back then, I aspired to be the go-to photographer for church gym weddings because that was the most successful photographer I knew. My goals were limited to what other small-town photographers were doing, until I broke free from the constraints of my small community. So, how can YOU go from mompreneur to CEO? Tune in to today's podcast to hear more of my story!
In today's episode, we'll be discussing an important topic that many women who are also business owners can relate to - setting boundaries. As a mom and a business owner, finding the balance between personal and professional life can be quite challenging. It's not easy juggling the responsibilities of motherhood while also running a successful business. That's why setting boundaries becomes crucial. Remember, setting boundaries is not selfish; it's essential for your well-being and success. When we set boundaries for ourselves, we are saying yes to what truly matters and protecting ourselves from unnecessary stress and overwhelm. Setting boundaries allows you to prioritize your time and energy effectively. Tune in to hear more about how I set boundaries in my own business!
If you've been following me on Kylee Ann Coaching, you know I've been grappling with what to do with my coaching business and podcast for a while now. But guess what? I had an amazing breakthrough! I let go of the fear of change at midnight one night a few months ago, and suddenly ideas were flowing like crazy. One major change is happening: Kylee Mentors Moms Podcast is now re-branded into the CEO Mom Club. It's still the same podcast, but we're taking it to the next level. As moms running our own businesses, it can get lonely, right? We face so many challenges that aren't openly discussed. That's where the CEO Mom Club comes in. We’re going to talk about the hard stuff like letting people go, boundaries, burnout, the weight of it all. We’re going to talk about the exciting stuff like diversifying our revenue and scaling. Dive into new topics like tax strategy, diversifying, growth. As always, it’s safe space for all the Mom CEOs out there who are fully invested in their businesses. And non-Moms too! Tomorrow marks 13 years in business for me. To celebrate this re-brand and 13 years in business, I want to share 13 important lessons I've learned along the way. Tune in to check it out!
We have my friend Trenna here on the podcast today, and I’m so excited. Trenna and I met on the internet – we’ve actually never met in person before. She is a photographer and she hired me to do some coaching with her! It’s so fun to see where she is now because our coaching session was a few years ago! Trenna is a Jackson Hole family photographer. She started her photography business about 2 years ago. They have had so much growth, and this is their first year with an associate photographer! Through her journey of starting a photography business, she’s grown a heart for mamas and helping them start their own businesses. She is a mama of 3 herself. Tune in to hear Trenna and I chat about her business, but most importantly, don’t miss how you too can “follow the spark”! You can find Trenna on Instagram HERE: instagram.com/tbphotographyjh/ instagram.com/trenna_ann
I was dead set on not recording for summer. I had even emailed my assistant and said, “Hey, we’re not going to do the podcast for summer. We’ll take summer off.” I emailed her today, “Changed my mind!” I was just out of the flow of receiving inspiration! Then, I read a book and I started doing things to bring back that inspiration. Here we are, with our summer episodes. Today, I want to talk about bringing that inspiration into your daily life. ***If you’re looking for an easy way to bring that creativity and inspiration into your life, please join our Alumni Mastermind!
