So, I have some tips to share with you. Make sure you tune in!

I don’t even know if I’ve gathered the “Top 5” adventures, but I’ve gathered some pretty cool and crazy stories to share. It’s so fun to talk about and so fun to reflect on my business! Make sure you tune in to hear about my crazy adventures! I have LOVED reflecting on all these adventures and experiences I’ve had. Please, share some more of these fun questions with me! I cannot believe that it’s almost time to plan summer! Oh my gosh! It came so fast! Summer is so fun for me. It’s so fun to be outside with my kids and do fun things. Not everybody is in a place where they can take as much time off. I definitely work a ton in the spring and fall in order to make this happen, and I also has a team that works and runs through the summer. If summer is your busy season, you can still do the exact same things. Start by time blocking your summer, and then fill in the rest. No matter what, whether you're so busy or more laid back, you need to be blocking your time. The cool thing about owning a business is the control that I have of my schedule. In the summer, when my kids are home, I really do slow down a lot. I want to share how I do that! Make sure you tune in!
As many of you know, my husband travels for work and is gone a lot. He works out of town approximately 40% of the time. His office is also in Orem, so when he is working in the office, he’s gone before we wake up until after we go to bed. Because my husband is out of town a lot, that means there’s also a lot of solo parenting going on at our house. I have learned a lot about solo parenting the last 5 years, and you guys have been asking for my tips! As a disclaimer, I know that solo parenting and single parenting is very different. I have a lot of support and I do not want to take away from any single parents. I am not comparing solo parenting to single parenting – it’s very different. There’s a lot going on with being a solo parent off and on, but it doesn’t compare to single parenting. There are a lot of days in our month where it’s just me. It can be very difficult for a mom running a business, like myself, for many reasons. There are so many layers of solo parenting! Tune in to hear my survival tips for when your partner is out of town! If you have any other tips, questions, or comments – please ask and share! It was so fun to talk about my own family today. It’s fun to reflect on what I do to help my own business and family run smoothly, and I hope you learned some tips! We can all do it!
Okay - you guys asked, and here’s your answer! Recently, someone asked what my biggest business mistakes were. This episode might get a little bit vulnerable, and you might see me in a new light, but that’s good! I think it’s important to know that I’m not a perfect human. I make LOTS of mistakes, and I’m going to share some of those with you today. At the same time, though, I’m also kind of a perfectionist. I’m a recovering perfectionist. These mistakes killed me inside. When you grow up thinking you will disappoint everyone if you aren’t perfect, it’s hard to overcome the mistakes that you do make. When I mess up, I feel physically ill about it. Tune in to hear about my top business mistakes, and to hear me chat a bit about the importance of boundaries!
Today, we’re going to dive into a topic that someone recently submitted when I asked for feedback about my podcast – How to keep your business running behind the scenes while focusing on your family. There’s going to be tools that I will talk about on other episodes that could easily apply to this topic, but I think it will be good to have this discussion all in one place! Whether you’re in your family life so much that your business is suffering, or you’re in your business so much that you’re not giving your all to your family, these tools will help you so much! No matter where you are in your journey of balancing work and family! Tune in to learn more about the difference between working IN your business and working ON your business, as well as some of my tried and true tips when it comes to work and family life balance!
Today, we’re going to talk about something that might be a little bit sensitive – working with your spouse. I work with a lot of different women, and I see a lot of different situations. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of different ways that men are NOT supportive of their wives. It saddens me that we have to have these conversations, but it’s the reality of the situation. There are so many unsupportive husbands out there, and that’s hard. It’s hard to run a business, try new things, take care of yourself, etc. when you’re not getting support from your husband. Now, working with our spouse isn’t just for when things are bad. Over the years, my business has evolved and I have just as many important work things to do as my husband does. I have to use all of the tools I share about in today’s episode… make sure you tune in to learn all about them!
