Champions...of Digression!

Due to a combination of illness and scheduling conflicts, we give you a very special episode! It's a dadburned clip show! Cyborg is considering selling the Titan Tower to a wealthy Japanese businessman, so the gang sits around the kitchen table, eats cheesecake, and remembers some of their most memorable adventures! Join us on this stroll down this 80% recycled material paved memory lane, as the Teens recall: the first Teen Titan adventure; the first time the original gang met Beast Boy; The New Teen Titans' first adventure(s); and, for some reason, the first Defenders tale!

We had a lot of fun reading New Teen Titans #28. The gang encounters the earth-tone clad teenage dirt whisperer, Terra! Topics of discussion include: Wolfman still doesn't understand sarcasm (we hope); if you have a super-intelligent gorilla with a French accent, bring him everywhere; how to choose your cult nickname; the difference between Jordan/Batman and LeBron/Robin; and an unfortunate suspicion is confirmed. All this, plus Cory awards his Aqualad prize in a most unorthodox manner! Enjoy! Enjoy!

Hoo Boy! It's that special time of year...time for a Giant-Size episode of Titan Up the Defense! Our hosts take a look at Giant-Size Defenders #4! Topics of discussion include: 3 Manhattans is less than 4 Manhattans, but is still objectively an awful lot of Manhattans; Hulk is the best; the the Marvel Universe has some interesting Big and Tall stores; Hank Pym wears a lot of different jerk hats; and who's to say what a bird is and isn't anyway? Happy Thanksgiving!

Our hosts read New Teen Titans #27, and man, this issue is a real bummer. I mean, it's good, but...dang! Kinda a lot of teenage runaways get killed. Our hosts try to inject some levity by discussing: their ignorance of Milk Duds and sarcasm, Adrian Chase is the worst DA ever, Robin has no chill, and Cyborg has a confirmed canonical dick punch! All this, plus the return of Speedy, and Aqualad's secret underwater wrestling league! Enjoy! Enjoy!

Our hosts take a look at Defenders #21. We meet Dr. Gorillabody, Jerry Meltyface, and Nighthawk's rad ex-girlfriend. Topics of discussion include: Kyle Richmond is a total piece of garbage, Steven Strange conquers the wily doorknob, being an insurance actuary in the Marvel Universe is a pretty exciting job, and the perils of homonyms for thin skinned yogis! All this, plus stay tuned after the closing music for outtakes about conversational song lyrics, Halloween flagging, and maps to the zoo. Enjoy! Enjoy!

We take a look at New Teen Titans #26, in which our heroes first encounter an earth bending teen named, Terra. Hub delivers a quick recap of the origin of Halloween, and Cory is a bit under the weather. Our hosts discuss: the difficulties inherent in dating a teen with an "R bird" for a name; Batman was a shitty dad; spaceship storage; underworld catering gigs; and Swordquest! All this, plus a surprising amount of discussion surrounding George Washington's genitals. Sorry. Enjoy! Enjoy!

Our hosts take a look at the weird pile of inexplicable nonsense that is Defenders #20. Wow. Just, wow. Topics of discussion include: Amora the Enchantress hotboxing the state of Vermont; Val's family is the worst; Nighthawk and Dr. Strange are *that* couple; a small-town sheriff's secondary duties; and Destiny is stupid. All this, plus the surprisingly omnipresent Steve Allen! And stay tuned after the closing music for a special treat! Enjoy! Enjoy!

It's a special, super sized episode as our hosts take a look at New Teen Titans Annual #1! The government still refuses to stop Hub from drinking eggnog in October, so our hosts get sugared up and goofy! Topics of discussion include: the best frolics in 1980's cinema; Robin is a bonsai tree of a teenager; Starfire's family kinda sucks; and xenocide may be a gateway drug. All this, plus a frank discussion of space diarrhea and Raven learns to let Trigons be bygones. Spadadammm!

Hub's literally fevered state continues as our hosts take a look at the goddamn delightful Defenders #19. Topics of discussion include: Gamma bombs make the shittiest baseballs; Steve's discovery of, and solution to, homelessness; The Wrecking Crew is bad with children; and the Hulk's other secret! All this, plus a teaser for our new podcast where we explore tactile sensations! By the Vishanti...a softball!

Our hosts take a look at New Teen Titans #25. Hub's a little under the weather and is, if possible, even less coherent than usual. Sorry about that. Topics of discussion include: sometimes Raven should just wait in the car; Hub renames most of the Omega Men; Beast Boy's self doubt is a thing again; Lord Damyn still makes us uncomfortable; and super speed versus evil dream dads! All this, plus a mustachioed octopusicorn! Enjoy! Enjoy!
