This was a delayed conversation from episode 36. It was in face recorded a few months later. The four met discussed how to cope with flood and some basic understanding about construction so as to everyone was on the same ground and able to pick up some further reading on their own.

After more than a year since the latest episode, Ning managed to produce the first episode of 2012. In order to prepare for 2012 flood season, Ning and Surachai invited Kanokporn and Sutin to share how they dealt with the 2011 flood, one of the worst for people who lived in Bangkok. They shared what happened and how they dealt with it in the aftermath.

Ning invited Kunjanee Putthimethee and her significant other, Pakasit Wiara, over to share their academic side. Kunjanee, a university lecturer at KMITT, showed some photos (courtesy of Dr.Acharawan Chutarat) from their trip to France. The trip was to observe how the city of Lyon use lighting to enhance the city landscape. We divided this into 2 episodes; this was the second one.

Ning invited Rud and Nok over to join the conversation with Pan. He was taking us to Lao this time. He went there at this particular place, Wang Wiang, several times, making friends with the locals so he could actually tell what happened to those places over the years.

This is the second episode on the Thai vernacular architecture series. so far, we have recorded 4 episodes, there could potentially lots more to come. On this episode, Pan showed us, as well as to Ood and Ning, photos of two villages that he visited in the central of Thailand.

The previous episode was almost a year ago. At the fourth year anniversary of Changkhui, the podcasters met and decided to continue the program. Pan, a guest from a few episodes ago, shared his experience in visiting and recording the Thai vernacular architecture at the north of Thailand. He showed a few photos and described how the locals applied local materials to fit into their living. This was just part 1.

Chai and Ning on Sand. Chai then expanded to cover some other terms with stories. This time, Ning was quite surprised to learn some new terms here.

A term a week, so far so good. This time Chai and ning talked about different types of stones being used in construction work; decoration stones, landscape stones, etc.

The chosen term this week is Cement. There are many different terms of cement for the real estate and the construction use in Thailand. Some of these terms are not even familiar to Ning, though, she is a project manager. Surachai, from the construction side, chimes in what he knows and share some funny stories along the way.
