Hello Sarangees! We’re back chasing the swooniest drama ever! This week, episode 4 of CLOY gets crazy with hijinks when Se-ri realizes that she may be stuck in North Korea for longer!

Picking up right where we left off, Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok get caught kissing by the coast guard, only for her ride home to sail off without her. Furious and desperate, Se-ri tries to paraglide back to South Korea, which leads to one of the show's sweetest (or cheesiest) moments yet. And don't worry, we'll discuss! Back in the village, Se-ri wins over the ajummas. She and Jeong-hyeok keep getting closer over clam bulgogi and a very confusing finger-heart, forcing Jeong-hyeok to finally admit to Company Five that he already has a REAL fiancée, Seo Dan, who's making her way to the village to reunite with him. Meanwhile, Se-ri's brothers back in Seoul continue plotting as we learn about her birth secret, and Seung-joon keeps acclimating to his new identity in North Korea. The episode ends with a swoony marketplace reunion and a flashback revealing that Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri's history goes back way further than either of them realized!

Noblewoman Lady Cho challenges playboy Cho Won to a dangerous game: seduce the virtuous widow Ahn Hui-yeon. If he wins, Lady Cho will sleep with him and if he loses, he has to seduce her concubine, So-ok. It's nothing like the dramas we've chased in the past, so we're excited to dig into something different!

Sarangees! It’s time for episode 3 of Crash Landing on You, and we are LOVING all the swoony moments our dear Captain Ri is serving up! We love them so much, we had to create our SWOON TRACKER! SIGH!

This episode gives us a real look at everyday life in North Korea as Se-ri gets closer to Jeong-hyeok and her Company Five dwarves/ducklings or dwarflings!  She's revealed to the whole village as Jeong-hyeok's fiancée, which sends the ajummas into a full jealous tizzy. We also meet our second female lead, Seo Dan — who turns out to be Jeong-hyeok's ACTUAL fiancée — and watch Seung-joon touch down in Pyongyang. Meanwhile, Jeong-hyeok keeps digging into the spiky "trucks of doom" (aka the Decepticons), and we meet Man-bok, the army wiretapper Lunatic Lt. is forcing into doing his dirty work. By the end, Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok finally make it to the boat that could get her home — but a coast guard check nearly blows the whole thing, leading to a tropey ending that had us squealing!

We're back with episode 2 of Crash Landing on You, and like our heroine Se-ri, we are FULLY IN North Korea now. Who knew it could be this cute and homey?! It's so charming we have to keep reminding ourselves: this is fiction, and we are talking about North Korea. 🫠🫠🫠

After Jeong-hyeok pulls Se-ri to safety, he has no choice but to hide her in his home. She meets the members of Company 5, and together they plot her way back to South Korea. We get our first real look at daily life in North Korea, meeting the village wives as they navigate blackouts and surprise inspections. Meanwhile, Jeong-hyeok heads to Pyongyang to investigate the suspicious car accident that killed the smugglers...and we finally find out who his family is. Back in the village, the unit gets word that the Lunatic Lt. is running a surprise inspection of Jeong-hyeok's house, so he tears back home to protect Se-ri. She's discovered hiding in a kimchi cellar, and just as the Lunatic Lt. raises his gun to her head, Jeong-hyeok makes a shocking announcement that stuns Se-ri and the villagers!

Today's the day, Sarangees! It's time for our sixth drama chase: Crash Landing on You! 🌪️🪂💥❤️ We're fully ready to paraglide into North Korea with our heroine Se-ri so she can find her Jeong-hyeok!

First up, we get into why we chose CLOY and why it took us SO long to rewatch it.

Then we meet Yoon Se-ri, chaebol CEO of Se-ri's Choice, and step into her world. Her father, chairman of Queens Group (same name, different family from Queen of Tears!), names her his successor, much to the chagrin of her incompetent brothers and cold mother.

But that doesn't hold Se-ri back. She's ready to soar and conquer anything in her way. So she goes paragliding, gets swept up in a freak tornado, and crash-lands on the North Korean side of the DMZ.

Enter Ri Jeong-hyeok, a stoic North Korean army captain, who immediately accuses her of being a spy. Se-ri manages to escape, leaves Jeong-hyeok stranded on a landmine, and tries to RUN back to South Korea.

Along the way, we meet Jeong-hyeok's army unit, the Company Five, who are all on a mission to hunt her down. Then there's our villain, Lunatic Lieutenant Cho Cheol-gang, who ends up killing like 5 people, which is INSANE. And we get a quick glimpse of our second male lead, Gu Seung-jun.

Finally, Se-ri stumbles into a village she assumes is in South Korea. But one look at the villagers and the North Korean propaganda posters plastered everywhere, and she realizes... she's really not in Seoul anymore.

Episode 1 is a fantastic set-up with GREAT world-building. To get y'all up to speed, we have a special segment doing a quick and dirty overview of South and North Korean history, so we're all on the same page. Plus, a Sarangees Hotline from @dda523.

SARANGEES! We made it. It's the FINAL episode of The Glory, and honestly? One of the best finales we've ever watched. Our friend Rek Lee is back on the pod to help us break down this episode and the series as a whole.

The episode opens with Yeo-jeong confessing  to Dong-eun that he knew about her schemes the ENTIRE time, but  instead of turning her off, it makes her realize how much he likes her. Dong-eun then approaches Hye-jeong with a proposition: get revenge on Jae-joon by swapping out his eye drops and BLINDING him. It’s pretty brilliant. Yeon-jin shows up to the crime scene at Siesta and gets arrested. The white truck of doom appears and crashes into Jae-joon. Yeon-jin’s mom gets arrested. Do-young shows up to Yeon-jin’s prison just to deliver her divorce papers. With her revenge complete, Dong-eun ties up loose ends, including LEAVING Yeo-jeong behind at the beach, and visits Yeon-jin in prison one last time. There, she goads her, and we learn the truth behind who really killed Myeong-oh. With her revenge complete, Dong-eun decides to end her life on the same rooftop as So-hee, but Yeo-jeong’s mom stops her, begging her to help her son. Six months pass, and Dong-eun comes back to Yeo-jeong, where they share a kiss and decide to follow through on Yeo-jeong’s revenge plan against the crazy killer, and they recruit Hyun-nam to help. We end with Dong-eun and Yeo-jeong getting ready to fully execute their revenge plan. 

Then it's our final thoughts: the total body count, what we loved and didn't love about the ending, and our picks for the most epic revenge plan of the series. We'll be back next week with The Glory After Party where we hand out our End of Drama Awards.

Honestly? Super sad to say goodbye to this fantastic drama…

It's time to chase Episode 15 of The Glory, and joining us is writer, actress, and comedian LouLou Gonzales. LouLou shares how vertical dramas pulled her into the world of Asian shows and why The Glory has her hooked.

Then we dive into the recap, and buckle up, because this episode hits a fever pitch. The bullies are falling like dominoes, and the payoffs (and satisfaction)  just keep coming.

Hyun-nam finally slaps Yeon-jin. Do-young gives Yeon-jin one last chance to save their marriage: apologize to So-hee's family. She refuses. He walks. Sa-ra leaks the video of Yeon-jin bullying So-hee. Yeon-jin loses her job, and Ye-sol tells her she's no longer proud of her. At Myeong-oh's funeral, the bullies completely unravel. Hye-jeong taunts Sa-ra with a sex tape, and Sa-ra stabs her in the throat with a pen. Then Dong-eun pulls off her biggest move yet. Yeon-jin's mother hands the nametag over to Dong-eun, and Yeon-jin walks in just in time to witness the betrayal. And finally, Dong-eun discovers Yeo-jeong has been So-hee's mom's legal guardian this whole time.
