'ME' is a safety-first social networking app that connects people in a meaningful way with the people who care about them most

With Cyberbullying and social media usage become more of a concern for parents worldwide, ME was conceived by Clare man Robin Grace, with the intention of making the internet a safer, more enjoyable environment for all.

The platform provides easy to understand e-safety tech literacy education in the form of illustrations, moving image and a mixture of education tools that will allow the user to identify what's dangerous or risky to them.

Robin has set-up a Kickstarter page to help fund his app, *which is only at demo stage*. He needs to raise €75,000 to make 'ME' happen, so you if it sounds like something you would like to support, you can donate by clicking here.

4-Step Strategy

Once the user engages with the education they will have the choice in how they want to respond:

Step 1 - recognize the dangers through age appropriate education.

Step 2 - Take a break when and if you need to.

Step 3 - Connect with someone in your support network.

Step 4 - Build your confidence and resilience by engaging with a pro-social (eg sporting/outdoor activity).

These steps can be applied to any dangerous or risky scenario that a young person may encounter as a positive response, and if the person needs to seek further assistance or advice ME will provide links to professional support services in their locality.
