Notorious child murderer Susan Smith lost her first bid for parole Wednesday. Smith is serving a life sentence in South Carolina for the 1994 murders of her sons, 3-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alex. Smith drove the boys into a lake and claimed she'd been carjacked by a black man. The parole board's decision was unanimous.
