Apple PodcastsAndroidRSSTeresa Rowlands (Trish) lives in the Sydney area of Australia, she has two great passions in life, her family and writing for young children. Trish believes a young child who loves reading is a child prepared for whatever they must face further down the line. How long has Trish been writing, well the answer to that is more years than she cares to recall.
Trish is always grateful to Wal her husband for all the support he gives her, plus the support she receives from her son and daughter and grandchildren who are given the unenviable task of proofing her stories. If the grandchildren say yes, then the story is published. So, let’s have a look at four of her books.
Trish is also grateful to the Camden Writers and Scribblers group for their support as well. [email protected]

The Books
There are Fairies, Ladybirds and Butterflies in my Garden: Illustrated by John Dunn
A very simple story of three fairies, six ladybirds, and nine butterflies that appear in a garden. Nicola, Teagan, and Brianna are all invited to the garden by a mystery little character who appears at the end of the book. The illustrations are big, bold, brash, and fun. Everything a very young child needs in a lovable book like this. Fun! Fun! Fun…
This book comes with a CD as the words to the story have been put to music, the tunes and the lyrics are by the author herself. Thanks go to Gavin Antoniou, Reece Anderson and Phinemm Nelson of Vocalise Music and Performing Arts Academy, for putting it all together.
The Boy who had a Rainbow Dog: Illustrated by John Dunn
A delightful story of a boy looking for his dog Gyps, only to find her in a darken barn having given birth to seven puppies, each one a colour of the rainbow. A sweet, enchanting story beautifully backed by bright, vivid and big illustrations.
Nicholas’ Christmas Prayer: Illustrated by John Dunn
What can I say about this adorable Christmas tale about a boy and his Christmas prayers for a special family Christmas. The illustrations will take you back to your own Christmas experiences as a child.
Our Little Elephant: Illustrated by Paola Nadar
This is the story of Reid a young elephant who lived with his mum Boo and dad Ricky in the forest. Poor Reid he kept on bumping into things and falling over, so one day his mum took him to see Dr L E Phant. Reid laughed at the doctor which made him angry, he told them Reid should get his eyes tested, which they did. The fun Reid, Boo and Ricky had at the optometrist picking glasses is sweet. Reid, now with his new glasses could play to his heart’s content without bumping into things and falling over. What a joyous kid’s story. Again, the illustrations bring the story to life.
