We've all experienced a difficult child. Maybe we have one, (maybe we were one) or maybe you've seen one at the grocery store. Now imagine that 10 times more in one small 3-year-old.
The child in this story could be called a menace. She was kicked out of all the preschools, and before she went to a chiropractic appointment, the whole room had to be prepped for her outbursts! Today’s episode of What Chiropractic Doesn’t Cure: Stories of Innate Podcast tells how her life changed when she is clear and connected, better able to self-regulate and become the amazing human that she was designed to be.
I met today’s guest speaker, Dr. Tom Preston, in Toronto and after talking for a moment, he encouraged me to “lead with your story.” It was such powerful simple advice that I’ve tried to follow since and it has made such a difference.
He is a chiropractor, and head consultant at Full Circle Coaching and Consulting, but he is also, as his friend Dr. Peter Amlinger described, an “awesome spirit-guided chiropractor.”
I asked how he developed “unshakable certainty in the power that each individual can be, do and have absolutely anything that their heart truly values and their mind can visualize.”
Dr. Tom shared that beyond believing in something, there is KNOWING, and how experience trumps belief every time.
I bring up the topic of burnout, asking his advice for a person, chiropractor or student who is burned out, looking at other ways to earn money, who feels blocked into their current situation.
We discuss how we can find a North Star in our purpose, mission and values that guides us and leads us from where we have been, to where we are, to where we're going.
