Imagine how terrifying it would be to have a toddler experiencing hundreds of seizures an hour. One family knew how helpful chiropractic had been to their daughter, so they asked the hospital if their chiropractor could come adjust her in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The hospital granted him privileges…and then her medical team was amazed at what they saw on their monitors!

On this episode of What Chiropractic Doesn’t Cure: Stories of Innate, I talk with Dr. Chris Walker, from Walker Chiropractic in Augusta GA. He shares this amazing story, making the point that chiropractors are uniquely able to support the nervous system and the body, and how they can work with healthcare providers.

However, Dr. Walker and I both know that not all stories are fairy tales with happy endings. We talk about how chiropractors can move forward and reconcile that with what they know about chiropractic principles, especially as R.W. Stephenson describes in #24 of his 33 principles: “The Limits of Adaptation – Innate Intelligence adapts forces and matter for the body as long as it can do so without breaking a universal law, or Innate Intelligence is limited by the limitations of matter.”

Dr. Walker also talks about his own chiropractic journey, from where he started out as a CNA and nurse, entering school to become a physical therapist, and then becoming a chiropractor instead!
