Dr. Kim Thor-Adams is an expert in pediatric chiropractic, standing up for your rights and creating the practice of your dreams. She’s also a chiropractor in practice in Nebraska, a speaker (I met her at MileHigh in Denver!), a coach, an author, and a mom.
In today’s episode, Dr. Kim tells about a family she was taking care of and how the mom said one time, “We don’t get sick anymore.” This statement made such an impact on Dr. Kim and encapsulates the idea that chiropractic is about optimizing your own innate ability to heal from whatever. Ideally, this starts during pregnancy and continues as a newborn so that children can grow, develop, and thrive with a clear nervous system!
We also talk about her core concept of bravery and courage in telling our stories. Dr. Kim tells about when her fire got lit up and she got even louder for chiropractic. She gives two steps for each of us to be braver.

Studies:
The basic idea behind the chiropractic PCP model was to create an integrative system of health care using PCPs who specialized in non-pharmaceutical and nonsurgical approaches, and to compare patient and provider data with the traditional HMO system. An independent provider association (IPA), known as Alternative Medicine Integration Group (AMI), served as the integrative health care system and operated within the standard HMO model.
For the entire seven-year study period (1999-2005), AMI's members (70,274 total member-months) had 60% fewer hospitalizations, 62% fewer outpatient surgical cases and 85% lower pharmaceutical costs than HMO members. https://chiro.org/Non-pharmacologic_Therapy/Chiropractors_as_Primary_Care_Providers.shtml During the Spanish Flu of 1918-1919, chiropractic Riley GW.
