Christopher Gray – Founder and CEO – Scholly
Christopher Gray earned more than $1.3 million in college scholarships as a high school senior. As the child of a single parent with few resources, Christopher realized that if he was going to go to college he was going to have to find a way to pay for all of it, including living expenses. His journey to win all of those scholarships led him to create Scholly, an organization that would help other young men and women do the same thing.
Scholly received the nation’s attention and adoration when it was featured on Shark Tank, landing a deal with Daymond John and Lori Greiner. The company was named in Inc. magazine's top college startups. Chris Gray was also named Ernst & Young's entrepreneur of the year. Most importantly to the Scholly team are the hundreds of thousands of students and families who have been able to use the platform to find more than $70 million in scholarship money to go to the colleges of their dreams. Christopher has just written a book called Go Where There Is No Path.
