Many of today's cultural issues, such as abortion, are not directly discussed by Jesus. However, in the limited pages of a book, Jesus could not have addressed everything we would encounter in life. Therefore, God left us with 10 guiding principles in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5.

We are exploring Judges 7:2-7. In this passage, God instructs Gideon to fight 120,000 Midianites with only 300 men. The revelation we are going to process is that God intentionally calls us to win in our calling with fewer resources than we think we need. He does this so He can get the glory, not our resources.

Genesis 1–3 reveals God as the purposeful Creator who formed the world in an orderly way, declared His creation very good, and created mankind in His image to live in relationship with Him and steward His creation. Mankind was given meaningful work, marriage, companionship, and responsibility as part of God's original design, with obedience to God at the center of life and flourishing. However, Satan introduced deception and doubt about God's Word, leading the woman to be deceived and Adam to knowingly disobey God. Through sin came spiritual death, separation from God, shame, fear, broken relationships, difficulty in work and childbirth, corruption in creation, and ultimately physical death. Yet God's response to the fall revealed both justice and mercy: He cared for Adam and Eve in their fallen condition, prevented them from living forever in that condition, and promised that the offspring of the woman would ultimately defeat Satan. From creation to the fall, Genesis 1–3 establishes mankind's original purpose, explains the brokenness of the world, and points forward to God's plan of redemption through Christ and the eventual restoration of what was lost.

Office hours began with a discussion on biblical perspectives about marriage. Stephanie asked about friends who were considering having a wedding ceremony without going through the government, which led to an extensive conversation about the importance of legal marriage documentation and avoiding living in falsehood.

The conversation then shifted to spiritual topics, including whether demonic spirits can inhabit inanimate objects. Pastor Amos explained that, while Scripture provides no precedent for demons possessing objects, evil spirits can influence people and may become associated with or follow certain objects. He also emphasized that believers are constantly engaged in spiritual warfare but are protected by the Holy Spirit.

Several participants shared personal experiences involving fear responses, cultural superstitions, and challenges to their faith. Andrea discussed losing her job and the importance of renewing her mind, while others shared experiences related to perceived demonic influences in homes and the need to overcome fear-based responses through the renewing of the mind with Scripture.

The conversation concluded with discussions about maintaining creativity while balancing ministry responsibilities and how churches should address contemporary social issues such as same-sex marriage and transgender athletes.

We are exploring Numbers 14:39-45. In these passages, the Israelites override God's instructions to stay in the wilderness for 40 years. Instead of accepting God's delay, they attempt to conquer the promised land and they are completely defeated. The revelation we are going to process is that God may intentionally delay us, which is designed to grow our faith, so we should not try to speed up the growth process. Instead, we need to patiently wait it out and grow.
