Church Public

Happy 4th of July!
I hope that you will be celebrating with your family and friends in the spirit of liberty and more importantly in the Spirit of the God who provides all our blessings.
Today, instead of looking at the present we are going to look to the past to inform not only how we got here, but also to give insight to how we can follow God in everything we do today.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
We need to look at what is going on in the Southern Baptist Convention.
This is the largest protestant Christian denomination in the country with over 40,000 churches and up to 12 million people represented across America.
There are controversies swirling like:
Can a woman be a pastor?
Do the Southern Baptists hate women?
Are they part of the evil patriarchy?
Or is something less controversial and more Biblical going on?
Have other Christian denominations gone down this road before?
How did that turn out for them?

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Why does Pride go before a fall?
Today we have not one but two high profile pastors who have been disqualified for ministry in the last two weeks. What is going on out there?
Then we check in on Disney's latest Star Wars series, also full of pride, and see how that is going.
As a preview, we look at Disney's newest foray into the Star Wars universe to uncover the secret ritual of female witches, who seem to be lesbian, so they have to immaculately conceive children. That is literally what they wrote into the script of this new show and it is a terrible as you can imagine.
Finally, we hear from a somewhat famous celebrity, who is so fed up with California, she is leaving for greener pastures. But is she part of the problem? Spoiler, yes.

We are full on in Pride Month so we look at some weird happenings, like Ms Rachel saying that 'Loving your neighbor' is celebrating Pride Month.
Spoiler - no, it isn't.
Then we talk about love and look at the Bible to see what is really going on in the world.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Former president, Donald Trump is found guilty of 34 counts of something or other in the biggest glass onion trial of our nations history. What did he really do, no idea. What is he convicted on, doesn't matter. Will he be put in prison during the election and even after being elected president for the second term, that's a real possibility. What does this all mean from a Christian perspective? We have moved on from the republic portion of our government and are heading into something else, and it won't be better.

The Pope thinks everyone is basically good.
Both of them seem to have forgotten the Bible...
Meanwhile, San Diego PD is cracking down on a certain segment of the population, but I'm pretty sure you won't guess which one.
And finally we check back in on Michael Cassidy, the based Chad who destroyed Satan in the Iowa Courthouse over Christmas. Spoiler, no hate crimes here.

Special Revelation.
This is, as it is called, Special. Not everyone has the opportunity to receive this revelation from God. This Special Revelation shows God's plan of redemption. This is God's incarnation, the cross, the resurrection and new life. These things cannot be learned through a study of creation. You cannot simply stand at the edge of an ocean or the top of a mountain and know these things. Almost all of this revelation comes to us through the Word of God, his Scripture, the Bible.

To live out your faith you must know what your faith is, I'm here to help you out.

Universities across America are full of students that hate America and Israel and Jews and probably so much more.
They have set up camps in the courtyard and quads of these universities and even taken over meeting halls.
In response, the Republican led House of Representatives drafted a bill that on it's face appears to outlaw the Bible.
