God's been working on me, and He continues to. I am not perfect, and God isn't shy to let me know that. In this episode, I open up about the sin currently in my life and how God is working in me. I'll also touch on the proper way to perceive His chastisement. This is the last episode I'll record for a while, as I'll be taking a break from Churchboy Confessions for a season. Can you be lazy and busy at the same time? A week ago I thought that was impossible. After reading this desiringgod.com article, I have a lot that I want to discuss on the topic of laziness. I pray this episode encourages all of those struggling with the sin of slothfulness. Remain faithful to what God has put in front of you.

How often do you pray for your pastor, spiritual mentor, or favorite gospel artist? It's time we as Believers stop focusing on only "getting" but also incorporate "giving" into our walk. Those in leadership often get treated like the "strong friend" - we ask them for advice but never ask them how they are doing. Satan tempts them too, and they need our support. No one is infallible. We need each other.

Last week we talked about how our obsession with overcoming our insecurities can lead us to sin. This week, we're going to expand on things and talk about how self-denial is the pathway to self-discovery, confidence, and a number of other blessings that come as a packaged deal with following Christ. I pray this episode can help free all from their battles with insecurities. Let Christ be your focus.

I recorded this episode in Sept, 2019. Many of us deal with insecurities, but don't realize that oftentimes the enemy uses these insecurities to provoke us to sin. Never let "conquering your insecurities" lead you away from God. I'll probably expand on this topic in the near future. Hope this can help set someone free.

As you begin a new school year, or any challenge for that matter, I want you to remember to never doubt the power of God moving through you. If you're anything like me, you have trouble keeping your confidence levels up, and always imagine yourself crumbling under the weight of the pressure. But do not forget that if God called you to it, He will make you everything He needs you to be to conquer it.

This week I had an epiphany about God's faithfulness. As I enter my sophomore year of my Masters Program, I am at peace knowing God is faithful (loyal) to me and will help me endure and overcome the semester. Think about it this way, God is more faithful to you than a person who decides to remain with their spouse after they've committed adultery. I know that's very specific, but it's something that truly captures a glimpse of the undeserving love God showers over us.
