Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate the freedom of the African American people here in the States, who didn't know about their freedom until 2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Like these enslaved people, there are many people today who aren't aware of news of a freedom that is accessible to them, which is Jesus Christ. As His followers, it is our duty to tell those people about Him.

In the past I've struggled with the fear of being disappointed. I hate getting my hopes up about something only to face failure, rejection or a let down in the end. Sometimes it caused me to not want to have faith about anything at all. If you can relate, this episode is for you. It's not something we want to admit, but it's something we need to admit: satan is stronger than us. When we are able to admit this, we realize our constant need for God. Life is spiritual warfare, and we need to put on the armor of God to overcome it.

Last week, while on my knees in prayer, I told God that I disagreed with how He was handling situations in my life. I know this sounds crazy, but I figured that God already knew how I felt, so I decided to be upfront and transparent with Him. It's still crazy to think I told Him this, but I've been captivated with His response and I wanted to use this episode to share what I received. Hope this can help anyone who feels the same.
