This week we are back in full force diving head first into a Big Kahuna Burger of film from the master of the exploitative, dialogue heavy, hyper violence film; Quentin Tarantino. We'll examine QT's career, how his style came to be, his influence on indie film, and some of the more controversial elements of his films. It is a jam packed episode, so don't be a "square" and enjoy our retrospective on Quentin Tarantino.
This week it is boy's night out as Brian and John break down their top 5 "dude/bro" films.
This week, we are ripping ass left and right as we review a little known nugget of a film featuring such high caliber actors as Stephen Fry, Paul Giamatti, Simon Callow, and Ned Beatty in what is arguably the most family friendly entry into our Pantheon of Utter Shut; Thunderpants. Yes, Thunderpants, a film about a boy with super powered farts and his genius best friend played by Ron Weasly (Rupert Grint) who end up saving some astronauts in space with a fart powered rocket. Yes, this is a real film. Enjoy!

On this very somber and serious episode, Brian, John, and Laine take a moment to reflect on the passing of a legend who not only birthed the modern zombie film, but in essence created the modern indie film scene; George A. Romero. We reflect on George's career, his craft as a filmmaker, and ultimately his impact on indie filmmakers on a personal level.

You all are in store for a treat this week folks. We've got 2 features in one episode! Up first, we are reviewing 2 short films from indie filmmaker, Nathan Suher of iM Film Filmworks (Scary Little Fuckers & Next/Door). Then we are joined by the City Producer for Pittsburgh's 48 Hour Film Project, Kahmeela Adams, who will break down this gathering of the 'burgh's best and brightest in an epic contest that tests a filmmaker's mettle; to make a short film from start to finish in 48 hours. It's a jam packed episode that you definitely do not want to miss.
This week, Brian, John, and Laine are taking a local stroll down to the newest entry into the comedic horror slasher genre with friend of the show, Steve Rudzinski's newest film, CarousHELL. A movie that asks the question, what if inanimate objects are tired of our shit? This is the story of Duke, a homicidal carousel unicorn that has had enough and is out for blood; sweet, sweet blood. We examine throwback to 80's slasher films and ask some of the real hard hitting questions. Like what is the allure of my little uni (unicorn/pony) and the rise of "bronies". Also, will Pizza Boy Joe in the film ever get his $42.39? These questions and more as we take a trip to CarousHELL.
This week, Brian, John, and Laine are going undercover in the only buddy cop movie to feature zombies, Vincent Price, and Joe Piscopo at his most "Piscopoian". Yes, we are reviewing the classic zombie comedy action movie, Dead Heat from 1988. This movie left us pondering some real questions like how the hell did this thing get made....I mean seriously someone sat down at a pitch session and said oh Lethal Weapon with Zombies...that sounds like a winner. Seriously though, this movie is a head scratcher with amazing effects and bizarre acting. So grab some zombie Chinese food and saddle up for Dead Heat.
Happy America Day! What better way to celebrate the fourth other than explore one of the worst b rated horror films to feature a patriotic theme, the cult classic Uncle Sam! Yes, Uncle Sam, a movie that follows in the long line of horror films centered on holidays...still waiting on that Columbus Day based horror film. So light a roman candle and don't choke on that hot dog as we dive into the ghoulish classic, Uncle Sam.
