In honor of February being Oscar month, we are celebrating in our own way by showcasing the very best in trashy yet awesome films as part of BAD MOVIE MADNESS MONTH! This week, Brian, John, and Laine breakdown what exactly makes a film a "B Movie". How are these films able to balance being extremely shitty yet able to warm the cockles of fan's hearts? So sit back, grab some popcorn as we dive into the world of B Movies!
This week, Brian, John, and Elaine are dropping some big news along with analyzing one of America's biggest most self gratifying institutions. We are now part of The Epicast Network and it is fitting that our first episode as part of this new partnership details the slew of snobbery from this years Academy Awards nominations. We examine the films up for awards and breakdown our picks along with the picks Hollywood will probably end up picking.
This week, Brian, John, and Elaine are joined by feminist blogger Jessica Semler of Jessica Rabbid as we tackle the controversial Chris Pratt - Jennifer Lawrence film: Passengers, a film that has brought up a lot of questions about relationships based on lies, morality, and justifying the condemnation of someone to death out of loneliness. So jump out of your sleep pods and get ready for some serious film critique nuggets as we review Passengers.
Now that the infamous New Year's 2017 stomach bug has left us, we can get down to brass tax with very exhaustive review of some of the gems and turds to grace the silver screen in 2016. In a year that brought us the deaths of countless celebrities and a gorilla and the election of a giant cheeto with tiny hands; does the world of cinema end up fulfilling our much needed escape or is it another symptom of a year that we can all say good riddance to.
