Reviewed: Death of a Unicorn, Ash Novocaine, Magazine Dreams, Locked

Spring has sprung and we couldn’t be happier at CinemaJaw! And to show our appreciation, before stepping back for Spring Break, we are delivering a **FIVE MOVIE** Review-O-Rama! You heard that right. FIVE MOVIES.

Ryan gives us his takes on the horror/comedy Death of a Unicorn, the trippy sci-fi Ash, the balls to the walls action Novocaine, the character study drama Magazine Dreams AND and the cat and mouse thriller Locked. 

None of these movies are like each other, so we like to think there’s a little something for everybody here. 

Reviewed: Snow White, The Electric State

Disney has done it again and brought one of their classics back from the grave! Except… this re-animated cadaver is doing the “Modern Disney” thing where… it’s actually not even re-ANIMATED. Matt, Ryan and KP were all able to check out Snow White and that’s a review you won’t want to miss!

In addition, Matt and Ryan checked out one of Netflix’s latest – The Electric State! It stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, and is directed by none other than the Russo Brothers. 

What’s more – we’re dusting off our battle axes and re-animating a segment of our own (see, you’re not the only one’s who can do that Disney). This episode marks the triumphant return of: CinemaWAR! The boys fight over how good the Russo Bros really are, and they leave the final call in Mama KP’s… capable… hands.

Reviewed: Black Bag

Steven Soderbergh delivers his second film of the year with the spy thriller Black Bag. Matt & Ry review that and give a couple film pairings to go with it. We also take a deep dive down on Cate Blanchett’s filmography with the treasure or junk segment. Lastly, we play some spy movie trivia. Lots here to enjoy

Reviewed: Mickey 17

MattK makes his triumphant return to the podcast. That he decided to come back on the episode in which we are discussing clones is a bit suspicious. If Mickey 17 can have two Robert Pattinsons, why can’t Cinemajaw have two MattKs? We review Bong Joon-Ho’s latest film and we discuss the finest movies that have clones in them.
