This week, we will look at Galatians 3 in order to see the basis of our salvation is, and always will be, faith.

In his opening remarks in Colossians, Paul repeatedly mentions knowledge. How he explains it, that knowledge is possible because we are delivered, redeemed, and forgiven in Christ. And it is through that knowledge - of God and his will - that we can walk in a manner worthy of God, bear fruit in good works, and persevere. And there are few better ways to know God than to be in prayer and the Word and to be at church.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan is familiar to many of us but timeless in its applications to our lives. In this sermon we look at how Jesus uses the parable to illustrate the failure of empty religion, the goodness of the gospel, and the urgency of missions in our lives today.

In Matthew 28:16-20 we’re shown that we serve a Great God who has given us His Great Commission with a Great Promise. We can be assured that He is with us always, even to the end of the age, when we’re using our lives to make His name known among all nations, tribes, tongues, and people.

At the end of his chronicle, Nehemiah recounts three sins that have crept into the community that he confronts and tries to fix by directly addressing the incentivizers. Yet through his account we increasingly see Nehemiah's concern about his legacy - whether the fixes will hold and whether his efforts will be remembered. He repeats a refrain that is a reminder to all of us: when we are called on to do difficult things, we can trust that God sees and remembers.

Nehemiah 12 is more than just singing and dancing. It's a celebration of a restored relationship between God and His people, a new marriage. How amazing and good our God is!

In Nehemiah 11, the temple has been rebuilt, the wall restored, and the covenant community reconstituted, but the city remains perilously empty. To fix that problem, a portion - one in ten - are tithed to the task of repopulating the city of Jerusalem. This story reminds us that often God's work calls out a smaller group to fulfill a task on behalf of the larger whole. But it also shows how important it is for the remaining nine to "bless the willing", supporting those tithed through prayer, material support, encouragement, and through the faithful care for the sending community.

Let's dive into Nehemiah and explore how rebuilding a wall transformed Israel's heart. We'll reflect on Israel's covenant, the sacrifices they made, the deeper motivations behind their actions, and most importantly, how their commitment challenges us today to align our hearts and actions with God’s goodness.

As the people of Israel continue in repentance and confession of sin, the history of salvation is unfolded. The Israelites respond by a renewal of the covenant in writing. How would you write such a covenant if you were to be faced with this task today?

Nehemiah 8 records the beginning of a spiritual revival among the Israelites after they have finished the building of the walls around Jerusalem. This revival is centered around the Word of God and shows how sacred God sees the repentance of His people when they turn to Him in brokenness.

尼希米記第八章紀錄著以色列人在重建耶路撒冷城牆後，開始經歷屬靈的復興。整個復興圍繞著神的話語，並看見當神百姓在破碎中悔改轉向祂時，這一切是如此的神聖。
