The A’s dropped a frustrating one in Texas, falling 7-2 to the Rangers in a game that featured questionable strategy, costly missed opportunities, and the emotional gut-punch of losing Max Muncy to injury. Rookie Jacob Lopez looked sharp early, striking out four and keeping the Rangers off balance through three.
