Matt Deggs has won nearly 400 games in his storied head coaching career. He has served as the head coach at University of Louisiana since 2020. Before that, he spent five seasons at Sam Houston State University. He's also led the program at Texarkana for four years. He has also been an assistant coach at Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Northwestern State. Coach Deggs has won 3 Southland Conference Championships and 2 Sun Belt Championships. He was the Sun Belt Coach of the Year in 2024 and Southland Coach of the Year in 2016.
