If you're an online coach or entrepreneur who also (like so many others) have experienced or are currently experiencing mental illness, I wanted to share my story with you.
Because you aren't the only one.
And because having mental health issues DOES mean that we have to readjust our approach to businesses, and kindly disregard advice from people who haven't walked in our shoes, or coached people who have.
In this more personal episode, I share:
Why my ADHD symptoms got more intense after transitioning from a 9-5 to a full time biz owner.
How certain mindset teachings in the coaching industry exacerbated my anxiety + what I would have done differently.
How the constant group program launch model burned me out & reduced my nervous system capacity to process new stress.
How big life changes (like moves, breakups, illness, etc) can trigger a trauma response.
How my breast implants triggered an autoimmune illness (and my journey navigating that).
How my autoimmune journey triggered depression.
Learning to self-heal the childhood trauma, causing me to make decisions that triggered anxiety.
Advice on selecting the right coaches + therapists
What I wish I had known about taking medication (and what advice I wish I'd never listened to)
Yeah, eeeeessss some shit. It's been a hard road, but I know that there are people out there who need to hear this story, and I'm finally in a place where I'm able to share it in an empowered way + guide others.
PART 2 of this mental health and entrepreneurship mini-series will cover the 7 tips I have for those of you who have depression, anxiety, adhd and/or trauma and still want to grow your business.
(Without triggering all your shit.)
So stay tuned.
