  • #051: Should a Coach Enter the Social Media Game ?
During this episode Karim will talk about the importance of being present in social media and use to add value to thousand of people in need of your learning, all over the world.
    --- Transcript ---
What's up everybody. This is Karim Amri, and welcome to the coaching secrets podcast.
For years before, whenever someone told me , Hey man, you need to be active on Social Media, to let the people know you, and show up on facebook and Instagram, I was totally convinced that this world is not for coaches. It was crystal clear that for coaches this is not needed.
I always said to myself that Coaches get their clients by referral, that’s the best way. Until I had a mind shift, where I started to think that in certain way, being on Social media is an opportunity to add value to the thousands who will not have the chance to be your clients. So this Social media will be a kind of mic to use to add value to others, even when you never meet them or know them.
When starting this journey, it’s important to choose the social media platform that your customers are using the most, to focus on it.
If your customers a mainly using FB, you’ll focus on FB
If your Customers are mainly on LinkedIn, you’ll focus on Linked In
If your customer are on IG, you’ll focus on IG
And so, one for the other SM platforms.
In previous podcasts, we highlighted that we need to identify where the dream customers are congregating, and the use of SM here, will be for:
    Understanding well the platform itself.
Understand how to promote ads on the platform.
Understand the mindset of the Dream Customers (What they like, what they buy, )
Join the groups they are part of.
    Connect with them
    Add value to them.
I always refer to the importance of groups whenever we are focusing on our customers congregation, as groups in this SM are, are becoming the best way to know, connect, network and interact with people.
The good thing with SM groups, is unlike the old events and summits, where the number is limited and depend on a geographical area, with social media we can connect, and get in touch with potential customers from all over the globe.
It’s important to stick to one social media platform in the beginning, and publish in it, at least once a day. After mastering this platform, you may spend to other platform, especially with the present of apps and service providers giving the possibility to share the same content simultaneously on different platforms.
    Thank you all.
That's all for today, keep growing and bye for now.

During this episode, Karim will talk about one of the big mistakes, most of Coaches, and new entrepreneurs fall into. What's up everybody. This is Karim Amri, and welcome to the coaching secrets podcast.
One of the biggest mistakes most coaches do is trying to be the one doing everything:
    Developing the website or funnel
    Developing a marketing strategy
Feeding, adding content, and interacting with customers on all the social media platforms
    Designing the brochures
Doing the content for marketing campaigns
    Editing videos
    ….
…. And the list is long
The same can be feasible, but the problem, is instead of reaching your full professionalism and high potential in couple of months, it’s going to take you years to become the coach you want.
You will spend months learning developing on WordPress, or Click funnel ( 8 months as average)
You’ll spend months learning how to edit videos (6 Months Average)
You’ll spend months learning about Marketing, how to build marketing strategy and bring traffic to your website and funnel ( 12 Months average)
You’ll spend months learning how to create your copy, for your media and web presence (2 Years)
You’ll spend months learning sales , (6 Months average)
This is not everything, but we’re already almost 5 years, and you’re focusing on everything but Coaching.
Yes you can make it, but after 5 years, those who are starting same as you today will be in the top of the industry of coaching, while you still figuring out how to be visible in the market.
I'e been there, trying to do everything, and I still falling into the same mistake sometimes now, but it's important to be pause and ask yourself with each a new task, am I the right person to do it ?
Focus on the WHO , who can do the job, not HOW to do it, if not  you’re just delaying and blocking your growth and success.
    Thank you all.

We always consider one person , as leader, when we’re talking about leadership, but , what about team leadership ? Is it different?
Within a team, members must be able to rely and count on each other when it counts.
For a team, having clear vision is key, this gives the team members confidence and direction. One bad apple, can ruin a whole team.
In any winning team, there’s some players who get things done.
The overall strength a team, can be highly impacted by the weakest link. Teammates are different, and each of them has a specific place where he reaches his top potential and add the most value to the team.
The more the challenge is high, the more is the need for teamwork. There’s always a price to pay by teams, to reach their potential. It’s extremely important for a team to know where they stand, in each of their journey, to know what adjustments to do.
Shared values is a must for the union of a team. Proper communication within a team will lead to better connection and completion of actions. Developing the team and investing in it’s members compounds over time.
When the team is doing great and achieving results, nothing hurts.
“One is too small a number to achieve greatness” – John C Maxwell.

Is it better to focus on competence or commitment ?
Is it better to develop yourself or invest in your team ?
Which is better to consider, being a good communicator or good listener ?
Is it wiser to show that we are risk taker and bold or that we are secure and stable?
So what are the qualities of a good leader ?
A successful leader has to encompass all the options
As leaders we need to know how to: Influence our team
“The true measure of Leadership is influence, nothing more nothing less” – John C Maxwell.
To embrace new challenges towards greater achievements and move people in new directions you need influence, you need leadership.
To become a great leader, we don’t have to select from management or leadership, but to develop both skills.
Management and leadership are 2 different and distinct bodies of knowledge, and both are necessary to the success of any business.
Question: What’s making developing influence level important for a leader?
Build good connections and relationships “ Build enough of the right kinds of relationships with the right people, and you can become the real leader in an organization” - John C Maxwell
Trust and good relationships are what holds leaders and their organizations together. The more you increase the level of trust with your people, the more your influence level increases. Trust is the base of leadership
As a leader, living with integrity is not a choice. Connecting with our people is how a strong relationship start, connecting start with caring for those who follow us.

    Level 5: Pinnacle Level
The pinnacle level is not earned by the leader, but given to him by those he leads
Your team and those who follow you are highly trusting you and believing in all what you do for them and for the organization.
“ Level 5 Leaders channel their ego needs away from themselves and into the larger goal of building a great company.
