Cogitations

This episode is from a question posed in the We all Truth group. How do you treat visitors to the congregation where you attend? How do you want to be treated? This episode covers these very questions.

Judging is always a pertinent topic. In today's episode I look at the topic from two vantage points from two different memes I stole from Facebook. I hope you are edified and informed.

I absolutely love learning new things. During a podcast that my wife and I produce I looked up a word and learned something new. Please take a listen and you can hear the two things I learn from the account of Mary and Martha at the end of Luke chapter ten.

I don't often answer questions in my podcast that were not either asked of me or, at least, asked in the We Talk Truth group. That being said, I saw a question in a group I do now own nor manage and liked it so much I had to do ab episode about it. God did not craft a law that is designed to "get us." Perhaps we should not interpret God's law in such a way as to "get" others. Let me know what you think.

This episode is from an article on Focus Press. So many Christians live their lives seemingly separate and apart from the guidance that a fear of the Lord gives. Take a listen and let me know what you think? There is no reason for folk to be unwise.

In this episode I draw a thought from a question that was asked in the We Talk Truth group about calling someone who is not a Christian, brethren or brother. Take a listen and let me know what you think.

I read an interesting post on the facebooks today about an experiment that concluded hope was a major factor in how much lab mice pushed their bodies' physical  ability in aa survival situation. Take a listen and let me know what you think. I pray your are edified.

What is the gospel and does it require a response? This two part question is exactly what we deal with in today's episode of Cogitations. I hope you find it beneficial to you.

I spend quite a bit of time in the Psalms. I recently read Psalm 38. It has become one of my "go to" psalms during times of my life when I do not feel like I am able to do what I need to do. Take a listen and hopefully you will walk away as contorted as I when I read this profound piece of poetry.

One of the erosions of our society today is that language does not align with reality. In other words, lies are promoted as the truth. Take a listen to my cogitations about this issue and let me know what you think.
