According to ADDmagazine.com see reference here, about 6.1 million (9.4%) of children between the ages of 2 and 17 have been diagnosed with ADD.
This figure includes:
388,000 (2.4 percent) of young children aged 2 to 5 years

And nearly two thirds of children with ADD have at least one other condition such as anxiety, depression, autism, and learning disorders.
These numbers are a snapshot of the difficulties that children, teens, and adults manage everyday while trying to figure out their emotional and mental needs.
As a parent of an ADD child or teen, you are already acutely aware of the challenges that come with this unique type of brain. You deserve a huge hug and a big medal.
Let's gather some more information about ADD and chat a bit more about what we can do to help our kids and how you can get the support you need.
Perfectionism is one of the most common issues I come across when working with clients. As adults, many of us have chosen or become “perfectionists” but the youth nowadays are facing an epidemic of perfectionism as they navigate the pressures of social media we didn’t have 30 years ago.
Perfectionism is the belief that everything must be perfect all the time.
Lean in to this episode to hear how to overcome this crippling mindset and become authentic and vulnerable - just the way you were meant to be!
Today’s podcast, We’ll unpack why the power of simply naming emotions is just that - powerful.
If you ask someone the number of emotions they could name in one minute, the answer will be an average of 11. Eleven emotion words. That’s it.
The first three emotions we name are happy, sad, and angry.
With emotional resilience and intelligence only becoming a thing in the past 20 years, we have not been raised to hear, understand, and use words that accurately describe what we’re feeling. We generalize because that’s the best we know.
Listen to this episode to hear ideas on implementing this simple tool.
Affirmations can help you create new things in your life. You use them all the time, but most of us don’t recognize them. We get caught up in a trap of negative self-talk and seeing things through negative tinted lenses. But what if we could change all of that? What if we could make our lives better, help us feel more powerful, and get through times of growth easier using positive affirmations?
The thoughts that stay in our mind become who we are and what we believe. Everything on earth and heaven was created first as a thought and then became to be. Think about this for a moment. God had to have had the thought to create the world before the world was created. It didn’t just pop up without God using his mind to create it.
Same thing goes for every innovator, inventor, writer, movie creator, dreamer, gamer, computer programmer, decorator, baker, traveler - all things that happen are first created in our mind, and then come to life as we act on those thoughts that were created.
Words are very powerful in the subconscious part of our brain. Whatever words are planted there determine whether new thoughts that come in our head are accepted or bounced out.
Listen to the power that words and thoughts have in this inspiring episode!

"Never underestimate the empowering effect of human connection. All you need is that one person, who understand you completely, believes in you and makes you feel loved for what you are, to enable you to unfold the miraculous you." -Drishti Bablani, Wordions

Mission, college, a job, travel, gap year???
If you're like most parents, sometime during your teen's senior year, you'll probably have a panic moment.
Are they ready?
What will they do?
Can they make it?
Have you done your job?
One minute you see them all grown up and the next moment they seem way too young to be making all those huge adult decisions. Seriously, who determined that an 18-year-old is an adult?
I remember realizing that I only had a few months to cram all the life skills that I felt my teen needed before they left. I suddenly felt like maybe I hadn't done enough to get them ready.
Now that I've had 4 young adults leave home and venture out on their own, I have experienced all kinds of emotions, made a ton of mistakes, and learned an incredible amount from these amazing kids who are forging their own paths and making their own decisions.
In this podcast, I'm super excited to share a few of these lessons with you!
Peace 🕊️ inside us and in our homes 🏡 comes when we feel confident that we've done our best.
Have you felt like God just isn't there? The further you reach to feel Him, the emptier you feel?
I have!
I've had times in my life that I've pleaded for answers to prayers and tried really hard to find peace and refuge from the storms of life. I just wanted to know that God heard me and had a plan for me.
When we're caught up in a storm that keeps us swirling and spinning, maybe the answer is to get inside the eye of the storm so that we can stop the spin of our brain and make it possible for God to connect with us.
Sometimes God is reaching out for us, but our brains are so cluttered, anxious, stressed, and emotions spinning that we don't recognize the simple ways He shows up for us.
This podcast gives you some of my best tips to get yourself centered in your own storms of life so you are able to FEEL God and know that He HEARS you.

"New research from technology companies suggests that children under the age of 10 now account for 22% of online porn consumption among the under 18 age while 10-14 year-olds make up 36% of minor consumers" (Bitdefender, 2016)
Don't think pornography is a problem in your home? Think again. "There was a disconnect between parents’ perceptions of their children’s pornography viewing practices and the reality: 75% of parents felt their child would not have seen pornography online, but of those children, 53% said they had in fact seen pornography."

I really didn't want to consider that my innocent kids would come across pornography at all. I tried to put up layers of filters, set appropriate rules in my home, had our computer out in our main family room, and then was devastated when I found out that it had still found its way in.
In this podcast, I'll help you know how to talk to your kids about pornography since 100% of them will be exposed by the time they're 18. We don't like uncomfortable conversations, but when someone guides us along it makes it much easier to know what to say.
We'll talk about:
In this podcast, I reference several fantastic resources for parents and children to turn to so they can get more information.
As parents, we can fight this terrible problem so we can create more peace inside our homes.
