What is the most important thing in your life? Is it a material possession, a person… is it God? What’s most important today may not be the same as it was when you were younger. For many people, it’s their children or spouse. For others, it may be a car or something sentimental from their past. As Pastor Mark will point out today, what you find most important in your life is your “god”; it’s almost like you worship what’s most important to you, or they become like idols. Once you give your life to Christ you should no longer worship other things, that is why Jesus should be the most important thing in your life! 

Have you ever met anyone who believes in psychics? Many of these people who claim to be psychic, or a medium are just very good at deductive reasoning. The people who go to the medium are usually easily deceived because they searching for hope or answers to some trauma or struggle they are facing. In today’s message, Pastor Mark warns that the enemy will use that searching, or lack of hope to deceive people into following him. Sometimes the medium or psychic seems to know things they shouldn’t because demons have supplied just enough information to make it sound like it is from God when it’s not!

Have you ever worked with someone who seemed to think they were the boss? As long as your actual boss wasn’t around this person would try to tell everyone what to do and demand everyone pay attention to them. They may even have the same knowledge as the real boss, so they expect that you look to them for answers. In today’s message, Pastor Mark clarifies that the term “anit-Christ” literally means “instead of Christ”. Like the person you worked with, the anti-Christ will try to get the attention of all the people. On the surface, he will look and sound like Jesus, but he won’t have the full power of the Lord. 

Have you ever had to prepare for a potential disaster? You may have been in the path of a potentially dangerous storm and needed to prepare. If you are ever in that situation you will need to make sure you have the proper tools to prepare your house and yourself. You must be both physically and mentally prepared. In today’s message, Pastor Mark explains the tools necessary to overcome the devil's attack in our lives. The enemy will attack you, but if you are a believer in Jesus, His blood will protect you. He will also explain that your story of how you came to follow Jesus and what He has done for you is a powerful weapon.

Have you ever gone back and watched a movie or TV show from when you were younger? What was so cool, or interesting when it was new, probably looked a little cheesy or just silly now. The difference in culture and technology, and even language can really make something feel dated and irrelevant. In today’s message, Pastor Mark explains how many people will look at the Bible like an old outdated movie or TV show; the language used is dated, or even ancient, therefore the Bible is ancient. The Bible exists independently of any timeline, what is dated is the language not what is being said and taught!

Have you ever had a job that seemed like it was permanent, but once you finished a big project you were let go? The whole time working on the project you may have felt like you couldn’t be fired, but as soon as you finished the task you were working on you were told you no longer were needed. In today’s message, Pastor Mark explains how God will protect you from the enemy while you are following and spreading His word. It is still possible for you to harm yourself, but evil will not be able to touch you. As long as you are being faithful to God in your ministry you can rest assured you will be safe from attack.

Have you ever eaten something that tasted sweet and good at first, but then all of a sudden it began to taste bad? Many times you can receive some good news that requires some unpleasant things to come to pass. The end goal may be good and just what you had hoped for, but the process may be very difficult. In today’s message, Pastor Mark explains how when you first receive God’s word for your life, it can be exciting, but then you realize what it requires of you is not. Often people can hear God’s word and get excited, but when they realize what has to happen to fulfill the Word it can become bitter.

When you were younger, did you ever mark your things so you could easily find them? Maybe you had a shared space for washing clothes, so you put your name on the tags so your things were easily identifiable. Or maybe you marked your food with your name and the date so you would know if something spoiled. In today’s message, Pastor Mark tells of how the angels have been sent to somehow mark believers so they aren’t harmed in the tribulation. If you are a follower of Christ, you have been marked so the angels and the enemy know that you now belong to God, and nothing can harm you! 

Have you ever tried to teach a teenager to drive, or to do anything that requires focus? You may have ended up taking their phone away so they would stop looking at it and pay attention. Sometimes the only way to get someone to focus is to completely remove anything that could potentially be a distraction. As Pastor Mark will explain today, sometimes God has to take things away from you so you will focus back on Him! You may not even realize you have lost your focus, or you may think by focusing on nature, or something else you are honoring God. But it is possible to focus too much on things that aren’t God!

Have you ever been accused of being stubborn? Sometimes the only way to get through to a stubborn person is to be even more stubborn. If someone refuses to listen or do something, you may have to stand your ground and break them down to help them. Maybe you’ve been the one that needed to be broken down. In today’s message, Pastor Mark explains how God uses judgment to break people’s pride. It may seem harsh, but it is really an act of love because without being broken down and forced to see sin for what it is, there would be no chance of salvation. Sometimes it takes tough love for the truth to be seen.
