Have you ever heard someone explaining something, and you knew they were very wrong? How did that make you feel? If it was something you felt strongly about you probably got angry, and you should. One way you can tell if you are passionate about something is if you get upset when people explain it incorrectly. In today’s message, Pastor Mark explains how it is ok to be upset when you hear someone sharing false, or incorrect statements about the Bible. You should call out false teachings or statements, but be sure to do it in a loving way. There is no limit to the amount of harm that such things could cause.

Have you ever worked somewhere that had a rule that you felt went against your morals? Did you speak out against that rule? If you haven’t, would you? Now if you knew you would face the worst possible punishment, would that change your mind about speaking out, or would you just follow the rule to avoid punishment? Even faced with exile and the threat of boiling oil, John wouldn’t stop suffering and living for Jesus.

What do you build your belief system on? Is it what God says is true or what you want to believe is true? So often, many people try to interpret the Bible through their own belief system instead of building their belief system on what God says through the Bible. Don’t fall into the trap of making the Bible say what you want. In his message today, Pastor Mark will challenge you to build your truth on God’s authority. It’s important to understand the context and the meaning of the original language in the Bible but don’t let that dilute the literal application. God’s Word has stood the test of time. You can believe in it and build your life upon it.

Where does your strength come from? For some of us, we can forget that God is our true strength. We may have some success in life, and we think it’s because we’re smart or powerful. It’s so easy to get distracted by our own talents like Samson did, and it was his downfall. Don’t let it be yours. Don’t let yourself get deceived and think your achievements are because of your own talent just like Samson and Israel did. Fall on your knees in humility and acknowledge that everything you have comes from God.

Aren’t you thankful for having the Holy Spirit living in you? It’s kind of crazy to think that the Holy Spirit didn’t live in people before the coming of Christ. No matter how faithful and devoted a Jewish believer was, they didn’t have the Holy Spirit. How blessed we are to have assistance in living a life for God. In his message today, Pastor Mark will remind you of the benefits of the Holy Spirit. Before you put your faith in Jesus, your sin meant you couldn’t have the Spirit in you. Now you have God’s presence inside you. He can guide you and speak to you. Listen for the voice of God every day as you seek to live for Him.

Aren’t you glad that God is a God that keeps His promises? Aren’t you glad He doesn’t give up on people even when we are sinful and unfaithful? God is gracious when we don’t deserve it, and He is faithful to His word. He promised to be with the Jewish people. He hasn’t given up on Israel and He won’t give up on you. In today’s message, Pastor Mark will remind you of just how amazing God is. Have you ever messed up even though you’re a follower of Jesus? God won’t abandon you. His love for you is unconditional. Isn’t that incredible? No matter what you’ve done, or how far you’ve strayed, you can never escape the love of God.

Do you have a heart for Israel? There are many out there that argue that God’s relationship with Israel is over, since they rejected Jesus. They say He has moved on to only blessing Christians. That’s not true. First of all, God wants all non-believers to turn to him, and He still has a heart for the Jewish people. In his message today, Pastor Mark will teach how it is clear in the Bible that God’s plan for Israel isn’t done. God made a promise to Abraham to bless the world through his descendants, and God keeps His promises. God's heart should be your heart. Pray for Israel, that they would see their need for Jesus and turn to Him.

Isn’t God’s grace and faithfulness amazing? Way back with His covenant with Abraham, He knew that Israel would mess up, but He made a covenant with them anyway. He knew that He would have to fulfill both sides of the promise, and because of that, He blessed the whole world through Israel and still has plans for them. In today’s message, Pastor Mark will remind you how God’s plan all along was to pay the price for your sin. God knew you would mess up. He knew you couldn’t follow all the laws to have a relationship with Him. That’s why He sent His Son Jesus to pay the price of that covenant being broken. What an amazing God!
