Do you let fear take control of you? When trouble comes your way, do you think the worst is going to happen? Don’t give in to despair. God will take care of you. Giving into pessimism can lead you down a road of hopelessness. You don’t know what’s going to happen, but you do know that your God loves you. In today’s message, Pastor Mark will remind you that God is in control. You can trust in God. He has been faithful in the past time and time again. He will be faithful again. God only wants the best for you. Don’t let your emotions take control of you. Fear is from the enemy. Walk in faith that God will get you through.

You know the right words to say and how to act that makes it look like you’re a good, faithful Jesus follower, but in reality your heart's not in it? God doesn’t want you to look good; He wants your heart to be fully committed. In his message today, Pastor Mark will have you take a look at your life and be honest with yourself. Are you being faithful to God in your heart? God doesn’t want you to do a lot of great works and not be in love with Him. You can raise your hands and sing at the top of your lungs, but God wants your devotion to be truly deep.

Wow, that is really challenging, isn’t it? Do you agree with the policies of the current president? Have you ever had a boss who mistreated you and was hard to respect? How do you treat authority when you don’t agree with them? Our society doesn’t show a lot of respect for authority, but Christians have a higher call. In today’s message, Pastor Mark will challenge you to respect all authority that God has put you under. The Bible is very clear that God put those authorities in place, so if you’re rebelling against that authority, you’re really rebelling against God. It may be extremely difficult but trust that God is the one who is in control.

Do you honor God in the difficult times of your life? That is such a revealing question! How do you act when you are truly tested? It’s easy to thank God when you are blessed with abundance and happiness in life, but do you thank Him when the blessings are scarce? When you aren’t succeeding, do you cut corners to get ahead? In his message today, Pastor Mark will encourage you to honor God in the good and bad times, when the sun is shining on you and when the rain is pouring down. God may use the fire to test you perfect you and form you into a better disciple. Be a person of integrity and honor and of love for the Lord at all times.

How hard is it to wait for God’s guidance? We often want answers now, and mistakenly can take situations into our own hands. Sometimes, the Lord simply wants us to wait and trust in Him. Throughout history, God has orchestrated the lives of many according to His will and according to His timing. In today’s message, Pastor Mark will continue to unpack Jacob’s walk with the Lord. Even some of the most revered characters in the Bible struggled with waiting on God at times. What a blessing it is to have their examples, recorded in God’s Word so that we might learn from and apply these principles to our life.

Have you given everything in your life over to God? He wants to supply and sustain you, and even more so, He wants to know you! When we are called to follow Christ, He wants us to surrender all to Him. The temptation from the enemy is to keep some back so that we can still control parts of our own lives. Today, Pastor Mark will examine the maturing process that took place in Jacob, and how his offering to the Lord was a beautiful symbol for us. It isn’t easy to surrender everything to Him, but as we go through life and experience moments where He is in control, we learn that is the sweet spot to be in every single time! 

The Lord desires for us to be in fellowship with one another, and to worship Him together. There are many benefits to being involved in the local church. Because of this, the enemy is quick to steer you away or justify reasons not to go. It is healthy to consider if your church involvement has been consistent. Today, Pastor Mark will encourage listeners to evaluate their relationship with God and identify signs if it may not be where it should be. Even in Genesis, The Lord was calling Jacob back to the House of God. May we be sensitive to the same tugs in our spirit - to know when God is speaking or calling us back to Him.  

A common misconception is that Spiritual works are what determine one’s eternity. The reality is that only through a true relationship with God, can one be saved. It is about a heart change first, which then leads to actions. Have you turned your heart towards God, or are you merely checking some boxes? In today’s teaching, Pastor Mark will continue to look at the life of Jacob and the lessons that we can learn from it. It is common for habits and traditions to help foster a community of Godliness. However, they should never come before what is most important - a relationship with Jesus Christ, in His Word, and in prayer! 

Do you have a good pulse on what is filling your child’s heart, mind, and time today? They are surrounded by so many distractions and the enemy wants nothing more than for parents to leave them alone. We must be vigilant to combat the enemy’s attempts to steal the hearts of our kids in a fallen world! In today’s message, Pastor Mark will challenge parents to be engaged with their children. We cannot afford to be unaware of what is before our kids’ eyes! Don’t be swayed by the pressure of others to just let children do whatever they want. God has appointed parents this important role for a reason!
