This week we review - Bad Move Service 2 Episode 1

Steve and Nicky are both on their second marriages and have decided that moving to the countryside from Leeds is the perfect setting for them.
They've watched all the TV relocation shows and read the glossy lifestyle magazines and fell in love with the idea of 'getting away from the rat race'.
Unfortunately living a quiet existence in beautiful surroundings is a big disappointment and Steve and Nicky soon find living in the countryside might not be for them after all.
They discover that the house which they have bought is in a bad condition and they have great difficulty in having it renovated.
It is situated in what locals refer to as 'The Dip' - a place where internet signals cannot reach, but floodwater can.

  • 13 - Quacks
This week - Quacks Series 1 Episode 1

Quacks is set in the 1840s, when medical science as we know it was still in its infancy, when doctors were just as likely to kill their patients as cure them, when they experimented on themselves and each other. The show explores an era of surgery when the operating theatre was just that: a theatre, full of spectacle and showmanship, where people would come to watch revolutionary procedures, or a surgeon try to beat his amputation speed record.

It stars Mathew Baynton as a fledgling psychiatrist, Rory Kinnear as an arrogant showman surgeon, Tom Basden as a hedonistic dentist turned anesthetist, Lydia Leonard as a headstrong social campaigner and Rupert Everett plays the head doctor.

After the collapse of his previous group therapy practice, Richard is no longer able to conduct the traditional 50-minute sessions most therapists have with their patients. Instead, he's developed a new form of therapy - weekly quick-fire sessions with his patients which take place online, through a webcam.
The few patients on his list present a hilarious and outrageous catalogue of neuroses, phobias, issues, anxieties and psychopathies, but even these short sessions, where he's confronted by everything from the sublime to the ridiculous, are not his greatest challenge.

  • 7 - Stath Lets Flats
This week - Stath Lets Flats Series 1 Episode 1

Stath Lest Flats is a brand new E4 sitcom, written by and starring one of the UK's leading young character comedians, Jamie Demetriou (Fleabag, Paddington) - described by the Independent as 'a Steve Coogan in the making.'
Main character Stath is a chaotic but well-meaning lettings agent, working for his Greek-Cypriot father in North London.
Across the series, Stath tries to prove himself a worthy heir to the family business, 'Michael and Eagle', despite his epic incompetence and divisive personality.
Against the backdrop of London's property market, Stath is a highly original workplace comedy with family at its heart, which offers a unique glimpse of Greek-Cypriot life in the city.
The series is co-written by Robert Popper (Friday Night Dinner) and directed by Tom Kingsley, director of BAFTA nominated feature Black Pond.

Stath Lets Flats is available on All4 https://bit.ly/2MyCnQ6 and DVD.

  • 6 - Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle
This week - Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle Series 2 Episode 4

Created by and starring Stewart Lee and broadcast on BBC Two, it features stand-up comedy and sketches united by a theme for each episode. It was script-edited by Chris Morris and was initially executive-produced by Armando Iannucci.
The BBC declined to make any further series due primarily to cuts to BBC 2's comedy budget which would focus on scripted comedy.
The main body of the show is a Stewart Lee stand-up comedy performance, recorded live at the Mildmay Club in Stoke Newington with a club audience. Usually two episodes of the show were recorded per evening. Each episode has a theme, around which Lee performs his material.
A recurring element of the show is the "hostile interrogator", played by Armando Iannucci for the first two series and by Chris Morris from Series 3 onwards. In a darkened room, the interrogator quizzes Lee about his approach to stand-up comedy and his attitudes toward his audience and the comedy industry.
