TV & Movie Reviews: Red (2010)

Dave picks the DC property Red. Chris has never seen it but really enjoys a bit of Bruce Willis.

    Plot Summary:

    Review Scores:

Frank (Bruce Willis) is retired, bored, and lonely living off of his government pension in a nondescript suburb in an equally nondescript house. The only joy in Frank's life is his calls to the government pension processing centre when he gets to talk to his case worker, Sarah (Mary-Louis Parker). Sarah is as bored and lonely as Frank and marks her conversations with the unknown Frank and her spy novels as the only things fun in her life. When something in Frank's past forces him back into his old line of work and puts an unwitting Sarah in the middle of the intrigue, Frank and Sarah begin a journey into his past and the people with whom he used to work. Like Frank they are all "R.E.D." - Retired Extremely Dangerous.

  • Mandatory Marvel & DC Ep7: New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract Review

It is time for episode 7 of Mandatory Marvel & DC, a brand new show for the Comics In Motion network that looks back at the very biggest and best stories from the annals of the Big 2 - Marvel and DC!

Each episode, Max Byrne will be joined by a special guest to enjoy a chat about that week's subject matter, talking about what we love about these top tier titles!

For this seventh instalment, we look back at the 1984 classic The Judas Contract from DC Comics. One of the most significant and influential comic book titles of all time, straight from the genius minds of Marv Wolfman and George Perez, this has provided the basis for an animated film and was also drawn upon for season two of the Titans tv show. Controversial and relevant to this day, this is heady stuff indeed!

  • TV & Movie Reviews: Brightburn (2019)

Quite how Producer James Gunn and co. have gotten away with blatantly riffing on the origins of Superman and putting a horror twist on it, is beyond Chris and Dave. But this understated movie could prove a real surprise package.

What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?
