In July 2003, a 33-year-old mother of two was raped and left for dead on a Greater Manchester roadside in a horrific attack. A few weeks later 37-year-old Andrew Malkinson was arrested for the crime and sentenced to life in jail.
Now, journalist Emily Dugan from The Sunday Times has uncovered a raft of fresh evidence which casts doubt on the verdict and the criminal justice process in the UK.
The new six-part investigative series begins this Friday 24th September here on the Reporter podcast, and will be released every Friday following.
