In this episode we talk with Anna Phearman, Public Health
Advocate with the Minnesota Disability Law Center. We discuss her fierce advocacy
for the disability community and how she has dedicated her career to addressing
the inequities faced by members of the disability community, herself included.
Prior to her time at MDLC, Anna worked for a range of disability-related
organizations, from a startup to a national advocacy group to a local service
provider. In September, Anna will be taking her public health work one step
further by starting a Master of Public Health program at the University of
Minnesota. Learn more about how we are working together to help bridge the gaps
to resources in our MDH Regional Health Equity Grant Work.
