Earlier this month in an interview with National Public Radio the leader of the abortion business Planned Parenthood, Alexis McGill Johnson, said: “This is literally a life and death election. We felt like we can’t endure another four years of Trump….” Much of Johnson’s concern is about the Trump administration tightening Planned Parenthood’s access to tax dollars.

Planned Parenthood announced their endorsement of Joe Biden and pledged $45 million to elect pro-abortion candidates in local, state and national campaigns.

The Supreme Court ruling, Roe v Wade, holds that because preborn boys and girls are not viable outside the womb they can be aborted. If it is true that Planned Parenthood is not financially viable outside of the womb of government funding then perhaps government is simply exercising its right to choose?

For every 10 black babies born in New York State almost 8 are aborted according the most recent vital statistics. In New York City for every 10 black babies born 9 are aborted. Nationwide black babies are five times more likely to be aborted than white babies. While the black community represents just 14% of the total population it bears the greatest burden of abortion. It is because of abortion that many black communities are no longer replacing themselves.

Over 16 million black babies have been abortedsince 1973 and the untold millions of babies that would have been born to those children are missing too.

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

How much do black lives really matter to people who are willing to ignore the gross systemic oppression of the black community that is abortion?

Receiving chemical abortion by mail is on the rise. It involves taking two pills, one to end the life of the baby and one to expel the baby. Due to significant risks of complications the Federal Drug Administration require the drugs be given in-person by the woman’s physician. Now some abortionists want to dispense the medication via mail after a teleconference without actually diagnosing pregnancy.

In a recent interview Gabriela Aguilar, MD, MPH, a family planning specialist, stated, “…what is actually, medically necessary to do a medication abortion…?" Aguilar said. "Do you need that ultrasound? Do you need that lab work…?”

Is it considered malpractice for any doctor to provide treatment for an undiagnosed condition? Why would abortionists seek to lower medical standards of care for women’s reproductive health?

38 Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide received more that $80 million in the Federal Government Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). According to a CBS news report the Small Business Association (SBA) managing the program concluded Planned Parenthood affiliates should return the funds stating they are ‘ineligible for a PPP loan under the affiliation rules and size standards….”

Darkening the storm clouds for Planned Parenthood, a group of Senators lead by Mitch McConnell accuse the organization of fraud, requesting an investigation by the Attorney General. If pursued and found guilty Planned Parenthood Federation could face civil and criminal penalties.

It is curious why an organization that pays their affiliate executives hundreds of thousands of dollars per year boasting thousands of employees could view themselves as a ‘small business.’ Also, how many small businesses have $80 million in payroll expenses?

A recent article reveals concerns over the negative impact aborted fetal remains are having on the U.S. water supply and environment. A student group is calling on the Environmental Protection Agency to study it.

A pro-abortion research group, the Guttmacher Institute, claims nearly 40% of all abortions in the U.S. are chemical abortions performed at home without medical supervision. The problem is that chemical abortion creates medical waste. Medical waste is hazardous and by law must be disposed of properly by the medical provider, the abortionist. The American Academy of Family Physicians states, “Home based health care can create medical waste which can be hazardous if not disposed properly.” Yet the article goes on, “…it’s clear that the human remains of hundreds of thousands [of fetal remains] are in America’s waste water.”

The Supreme Court could have dealt a deadly blow to the abortion industry but instead chose to override the will of the people recently in the case June Medical Services v Russo. Louisiana enacted a law insisting that abortionists abide by the same standards of care as all other medical providers. Abortionists sued on behalf of women in general. Recently an attorney said, “This is similar to allowing a car manufacturing company to represent consumer interests when challenging a car safety law.” In effect the abortionists are not protecting the interests of women but their own camouflaged as women’s health.

The court’s decision was narrowly split 5 to 4 and demonstrates the long-term power one more conservative appointee to the Supreme Court could have on supporting the will of the people and the demise of abortion in America.

On July 1st1970 New York legalized abortion on demand becoming one of the first states in the U.S. to do so. This occurred two and a half years before the Supreme Court’s 1973 abortion ruling, Roe v Wade. The intervening two years saw New York devolve into an abortion tourism destination. Women came from all over the nation to get their abortions. According to the Vital Statistics of New York State, by 1972 281,000 abortions were performed and 171,000 on women from out of state. The most recent vital statistics from 2017 show the total number of abortions in NY at just under 78,000.

If the Supreme Court overturns the 1973 abortion decision abortion will not end, it will mean a return to abortion tourism in New York.

On June 5thU.S. District Court Judge Thomas McAvoy ruled on the lawsuit CompassCare v Cuomo. The lawsuit challenges a new labor lawforcing Christian organizations including churches to employ people who do not align with the organization’s beliefs and mission.

Attorneys representing CompassCare say, “The government cannot tell a religious organization or group, like pregnancy centers and churches, to hire someone who doesn’t agree with their mission. The recent District Court opinionfailed to uphold their freedom to partner with and hire only people who align with the ministry’s mission.” Jim Harden, President of CompassCare states: “We are currently considering our legal options, but our principles remain the same: All Americans should be free to live and work according to their beliefs without fear of unjust government punishment.”

When National Public Radio cut out a black pro-lifer from a show about his own anti-abortion media campaign, Ryan Bomberger of the Radiance Foundation told the story to the National Review. His claim is that there is a general media narrative that portrays the pro-life movement as comprised of only conservative, white males ignoring the truth. The article states: “In reality, the anti-abortion movement is one of the most diverse political coalitions in the nation, united by a belief in the sanctity of every human life.”

The pro-life movement transcends age, gender, ethnicity, and religion. As diversity exhibit A, the largest Pentecostal and overwhelmingly black denomination in the U.S. recently released a resolution which states in part, “Abortion is genocide…it is our prayer that the heinous industry of abortion will become morally reprehensible worldwide.”

By law Federal tax dollars are not supposed to fund abortion. Fifty years ago, grant monies for family planning were made available through Title X and paid out through Health and Human Services with the understanding that abortion is not family planning. Yet, many have been frustrated by the fact that the world’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, has received hundreds of millions in Title X grant money for decades.

Recently, this no-abortion expectation for Title X grant recipients was reiterated when the Trump Administration initiated the ‘Protect Life Rule.’ Predictably, Planned Parenthood and other abortionists filed suit in the abortion-friendly U.S. 9thCircuit. Surprisingly, the 9th Circuit upheld the Protect Life Rule and even more astonishingly, the 9th Circuit Appeals Court refused to reconsider the decision.
