Recent reports reveal 115 COVID-19 vaccines under development. So far, sixteen of the COVID-19 vaccines are in clinical trials.
Methods of vaccine production are varied and highly complex. However, development of a common type of vaccine requires two basic elements: 1) a genetically modified version of the virus that does not replicate itself and 2) cells for the virus to grow in. The cells used to grow the virus during the manufacturing process can be adult stem cells, insect cells, and animal cells. However, five of the sixteen COVID-19 vaccines in clinical trials use aborted fetal cells for production. This is viewed by many as unethical.
Being ethical means respecting the dignity of every human life without exception. If there are ethical ways of manufacturing a vaccine why would a pharmaceutical company choose otherwise?

On May 2 hundreds of churches and thousands of people raised nearly a half million dollars to reduce abortion in Western New York through CompassCare’s Virtual Walk for Life. CompassCare is at the center of Rochester’s dramatic 50% abortion reduction. Last year the organization augmented its reach to include Buffalo. CompassCare’s President, Jim Harden, states: “Women considering abortion feel stuck, like they ‘need’ an abortion.”
The mission of CompassCare is to erase the ‘need’ by empowering women with ethical medical care and comprehensive support. “And when that happens,” Harden says, “a true choice emerges and most women choose to have their babies.”
Harden continues, “Surpassing the fundraising goal by $70,000 at the Virtual Walk for Life is made even more astounding by the nation’s health crisis. New York pro-lifers are alive and well.”

Recently a European study of all first-time mothers between 1996 and 2013 found a link between abortion and poor outcomes for subsequent pregnancies. This comes just days ahead of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s gaff that abortion is safer than childbirth. The study reveals a 2.3-fold and 1.6 fold increase risk of extremely preterm birth for women with one abortion and almost doubling the risk if she has had two or more. The study states, “Even in countries with high‐quality and reliable health services, abortion may lead to adverse birth outcomes, which could have significant public health implications.”
Wherever one may stand on abortion this study asks us to consider the dangers of abortion to the future brothers and sisters of every aborted baby.

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Louisiana’s Unsafe Abortion Act. The law simply holds all abortionists to the same standard as other physicians providing in-office surgical procedures including having hospital admitting privileges to maintain continuity of patient care in case of an emergency.
Justice Ginsberg and Senator Schumer appeared to tag-team to combat a ruling upholding the law. Pro-abortion During questioning, Justice Ginsberg claimed abortion is safer than childbirth—abortion propaganda soundly debunked. Meanwhile on the steps of the Supreme Court Senator Chuck Schumer yelled threats to two of Justices, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch! I want to tell you, Kavanaugh! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
How will exempting abortionists from basic medical standards of care improve women’s health?

Should everyone be pro-life? Human equality is rooted in human dignity. Human dignity comes from the Christian belief that humans are made in the image of God as the Bible says in Genesis 1:27, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Therefore, each of us has always been and will always be fully and equally human.
Christians understand that, because everyone is made in the image of God, all people are both fully human and equally valuable from the womb to the tomb, without arbitrary man-made qualifications. In fact, being made in the image of God is the moral ground God gives Noah after the flood to mandate the protection all humans equally in Genesis 9:6.

Christians believe abortion is wrong because all people are made in the image of God each being equally valuable without qualification. Each person is fully human at all stages of maturity, from the womb to the tomb. To narrow the definition of who qualifies as human is to permit the law to play favorites, creating human sub-classes for society to oppress. The Supreme Court has a sordid history of doing this, calling Native Americans ‘savages’ in 1823 in order to deny them their land, calling blacks 3/5 human in 1857 to rob their freedom, and stealing the fertility of poor people through forced sterilization by labeling them ‘mentally unfit’ in 1927. All these were rectified. Yet, an injustice remains…depriving pre-born boys and girls of personhood status to justify killing them through abortion (1973).

Do you long for a more pro-life, pro-family community? For that future to become a reality, Christians must stop talking about abortion as if it is merely an issue or unfortunate social ill. The Church must begin to see abortion as a symptom of society’s fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to be human. Because everyone is made in the image of God, all people, without qualification, are equally valuable, deserving of equal protection under the law. Being made in the image of God is the touchstone of human dignity and equality. At the moment of fertilization, we are each instantly and inherently invaluable because of Whose we are. Jesus says, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Mark 12:17).
What marks human value?” The imprint of God upon the human mint.

How important are beliefs? The belief that mankind is made in the image of God is the basis of human dignity and equality. If man is not made in the image of God then equality is just a word politicians use to manipulate the people to amass more power to themselves. To justify abortion, the definition of what it means to be human must be narrowed to exclude preborn babies. To say that preborn babies do not qualify as persons under the law in order to justify abortion is either no big deal or the greatest injustice the world has ever seen. It all hinges on what society believes about what it means to be human. Either we are made in the image of God and equally valuable or there is no human value at all.

What does the Bible say about abortion? God emphasized human dignity by becoming human and, even more overwhelmingly, by substituting Himself for us at the cross to buy our lives back from sin and death. In so doing Jesus became our Good Samaritan. Now in our gratitude, Christians seek His pleasure by obeying His charge to: “Go and do likewise” (Luke 10:37b) for the most vulnerable of society. The Church tells the world through its pro-life stance and its presence at the Walk for Life that abortion is unjust toward the baby and unnecessary for any woman. The Walk for Life invites others to follow in Jesus’ steps, our Good Samaritan, demonstrating that all people are equally valuable and deserving of blessing and protection, both mom and baby.

“What Does Abortion Have to Do with Protecting Americans from Coronavirus?” This was asked by a White House official when questioned about the abortion funding provisions in the Coronavirus economic stimulus bill. According to a White House correspondent, during the process for developing a Coronavirus economic stimulus plan House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lobbied to ensure tax payer funded abortion. Another official explained that Pelosi’s move not only goes against historical norms for no Federal funding of abortion but is inconsistent with the purpose of the bill.
Why would Speaker Pelosi hold the Coronavirus emergency response bill (and the people of the United States) hostage to abortion funding? Why is Pelosi posing as the new face of the abortion lobby? Is that even legal?
