Real Abortion News #157 - Originally aired January 2021
Gallup’s most recent poll shows 60% of all Americans believe abortion ought to be illegal or illegal in most cases. These pro-lifers include men and women of all ages and ethnicities. What is it about abortion that drives so many people to reject the Federal government’s 48 year-long stance for abortion?
Could it be a personal experience with abortion? Perhaps. Could it be the advances in ultrasound technology offering a window into womb? Maybe. Could it be the scientific advances revealing all people are fully human at all stages of maturity? Possibly. But underneath it all, that which gives ultimate meaning to a human is not science, technology or even personal experience but God. The belief that all humans are made in the image of God informs human dignity and haunts the American soul with the truth that all people are equally valuable without qualification.

Real Abortion News #156 -
For years pro-life organizations accused the nation’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, of racism. Efforts to unveil this bias show Planned Parenthood locating up to 86 percent of its abortion offices in or near minority neighborhoods. According to a recent article Blacks and Latinos comprise just 20% of the population yet represent 45% of all U.S. abortions. Recent CDC Abortion Surveillance reveals that of all ethnicities Black women had a ratio of abortion five times higher than that of white women.
Now a recent report collates the admissions of Planned Parenthood affiliates in 33 states to systemic racism in their day-to-day operations. Affiliate of the North Central States said, “We are owning our organization’s history and…structural racism within our organization….”
If Planned Parenthood is admitting that racism drives their abortion business, could anything other than political racism allow it to continue?

Can this be clarified? Does that mean pregnancies versus abortions, abortions versus live births?
I know what you’re trying to say but this term isn’t clear to me. There is hypocrisy in decrying structural racism elsewhere and demanding systems/organizations be dismantled…and support for PP is inconsistent with that rhetoric. Can this point be made more clearly but still succinctly?

Traditional Christian belief requires people avoid any connection with evil including personal gain from the non-voluntary taking of innocent human life. This is why pro-life Christians are increasingly alarmed as pharmaceutical companies shifted the production of all mandatory childhood vaccines to exclusively use aborted baby cells. Because there are no moral vaccine alternatives available, New York State intensified the dilemma in 2019 by eliminating religious exemptions for vaccines for children in school. New York is now toying with accentuating the problem with legislation mandating adult COVID vaccination.
So, is there such a thing as a pro-life COVID vaccine? The first FDA approved vaccine from Pfizer does not use aborted baby cells but comes with warnings for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. However, aborted baby cells are used in the next two up for FDA consideration from AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson.

How would this sentence change if the word traditional was removed? Sometimes I hear “traditional” used by secular people as a way to classify beliefs as archaic.
Is this bill in active discussion or just being drafted? This phrase seems vague.
Accentuate/exacerbate, which one is best?

Jesus was born into a world so inhospitable to children that an innkeeper relegated the laboring mother of Christ to give birth amongst animals. Children were so disposable in the eyes of the earthly king that he ordered the mass killing of infant boys around Bethlehem in an attempt to secure his political power against the threat of a foretold newborn King.
For women facing unplanned pregnancy and their preborn babies the world we live in today is just as hostile. But ending this depravity and oppression is precisely why Jesus came.
The solution today is the same as it was 2,000 years ago: Immanuel, God with Us. As the Gospel of Luke proclaims, Jesus is the One “To shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:79).

Why is the pro-life movement populated and led by Christians? Pro-lifers span the demographic gamut including men, women, white, black, old and young. What is it that makes a person so passionate they are willing to sacrifice both their reputation and resources to help women considering abortion to have their babies while winning over their neighbors to their view? It is the Gospel.
God in Jesus saved His people from the eternal poverty of sin through His death on the cross. Christians understand that God obligates His people to walk in His steps, reflecting God’s own character back to the world by caring for the poor. Since all other categories of poor get to live, abortion represents the greatest poverty of all as it robs boys and girls of their very lives.

On July 14 a Maryland Federal District Judge moved to nullify FDA safety restrictions on chemical abortion which require physician supervision. The judge argued this requirement is a substantial obstacle for women during a pandemic. Removing doctors from chemical abortion administration would allow drugs to be mailed to women directly. The FDA appealed the ruling and defended their safety protocols in light of the four-fold increased risk of complications from chemical abortion over surgical abortion. Their appeal was denied. Because women’s health is imminently threatened by deregulation, the Justice Department requested the Supreme Court rule on the matter. This would be the first ruling since pro-abortion Justice Ginsberg died. If the court is split 4:4 on the issue the lower court’s ruling will stand.
How does reducing a woman’s access to her doctor while exposing her to increased risk improve women’s reproductive health?

Real Abortion News #150 - Originally aired November 2020
Recent testimonies by abortionists reveal that babies born alive during abortion procedures are either executed or left to die by withholding medical care. Similarly, other infants born prematurely or with disabilities have been denied care at hospitals against the will of their parents. Trump’s Executive Order on Protecting Vulnerable Newborn Children requires Health and Human Services (HHS) to investigate complaints of violations of federal laws like the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, already requiring treatment for infants whose parents sought it but were denied. Hospitals [mb1] and other medical providers like abortionists [mb2] who deny life-saving care to infants born alive face criminal penalties. In response to this order HHS Secretary Alex Azar said that the mission of HHS is “to protect the health and well-being of all Americans…including infants born prematurely and…with disabilities.”

[mb1]Can this be clarified? Does it require treatment from the outset or is it simply an avenue for seeking justice after care has already been denied? Somehow the wording confuses me.
[mb2]Can this be rephrased so abortionists are not being called “medical providers”?
Real Abortion News #149 - Originally aired November 2020
Systemic oppression makes permanent subclasses of entire categories of people and legalizes their mistreatment. Abortion does this to preborn babies. In the Bible, justice means society’s poor and oppressed are protected. This category of person in Biblical times were often the orphan and the widow. The truly poor have no legal standing, no voice, no resources of their own. Unless someone picks up their cause they would continue to be mistreated, ignored, marginalized, even killed.
Abortion is not just another justice issue. Abortion represents society’s fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to be human. If we are all made in the image of God, then all people are equally valuable, without qualification. And the duty of all civilized societies is to protect the lives of her most vulnerable.

Real Abortion News #148 - Originally aired November 2020
Many Democrats fear a conservative-leaning Supreme Court could overturn the abortion ruling, Roe v. Wade. At a televised townhall interview on October 5 with Lester Holt, Presidential candidate Joe Biden was asked how he intends to protect abortion rights should the high court shift. He answered saying, “…the only responsible response … would be to pass legislation making Roe the law of the land.”
But why have abortion proponents historically avoided the legislative process to implement and protect their abortion agenda. Could it be precisely because the legislative process has not worked? Historically pro-abortion politicians relied on activist judges to create laws. A conservative leaning Supreme Court would threaten the ability of pro-aborts to protect the candle of abortion from the breath of the people to extinguish it.
