The promise of living in a beautiful body distracts us from the day in front of us. Our life becomes about obsessing, comparing, and waiting around for our bodies to look "better". When you look back on your life, you won't be happy that you stayed thin or that you delayed wrinkles until your 50's. You'll be happy that you enjoyed every piece of pizza you decided to eat. You'll be happy you didn't let fear stop you from doing what mattered. You'll be happy you were part of something bigger than yourself. And we don't get that chance until we stop letting ourselves get distracted and depressed by comparing our bodies to unrealistic beauty standards. Want more? Visit www.rebekahbuege.com
Hate to break it to you, but the happiness you're looking for can't be found in your reflection. The good news is - you can be confident, happy, and enjoying life in the body you have right now...using a few simple perspective shifts. Want more support? Women's bodies are shown in a sexual context far more than men's bodies. That send the message that our bodies are made to be attractive, but their purpose is so much more than that! When you see your body's purpose as more than beautiful, it's much easier to stop comparing yourself and appreciate your body. In this episode, you'll learn what to do when critical thought patterns start, and how to remind yourself you are more than a body.
Welcome to the re-release of Confidently She! In this episode, I start by defining what confidence actually looks like. It's more of a feeling within you than a tangible quality people can see. You'll learn how to define confidence, the difference between confidence and arrogance, and why it feels so hard to love yourself even when you're actually amazing. Thanks for listening, share this with your best friend (she needs it, too) and join the group Confidently She Makes it Happen over on Facebook. Want more?
