In today’s third hour, Dom welcomes Representative Jeff Van Drew back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the Congressman’s very busy couple weeks. First, Dom asks for Van Drew to response to Representative Hakeem Jeffries, who said today that males competing in female sports teams is ‘an issue that doesn’t really exist. Then, Dom reads back a letter sent by Democratic congressmen and Robert Menendez asking Republicans to lay off the windmill companies, trying to justify the repeated whale deaths at the Jersey Shore with climate change and the speed of ships. Also, Van Drew takes us inside this week’s Judiciary Committee hearing into Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, with the Congressman telling how he felt when dealing with the ignorance of Democrats on the issue of public safety.
Then, after playing Dom’s Money Melody, Dom welcomes in Sam Oropeza, candidate for City Council in Philadelphia, to hear his thoughts on news that Council will launch hearings into Isaiah Thomas’s Equality in Driving Law. Also, Oropeza tells about a fundraiser tonight at the Union League Golf Course, and explains why it’s incredibly important to make sure City Council has Republican representation at a time when it’s realistically possible to see a fully Democratic and Socialist Council.
