If you don't have your health, you don't have anything. Or at least that's what my Dad always tells me. On this last episode of my mini series on resilience in leadership, we look at the overarching topic that can impact everything.
The keen ear might note that I did not mention sleep as a factor in health; I hope you'll forgive me. I felt like everyone knows you need good sleep to keep yourself healthy and, to be honest, I wrote & recorded this while completely sleep deprived and there is not much point in telling you something so basic when I am not enacting it myself!

Is your business stagnating and you aren't sure why? Or maybe you are sure but don't really want to think about it too much because you suspect that you are the reason...
Everyone has their doubts about themselves, fears about what might happen, and doubts can be healthy; they can prevent you from making huge mistakes, from being unsafe. But at what point do those fears and doubts actually begin to hold you back?

Do you know your Enneagram number?
I don't but I have been known to take other tests and quizzes to find out my strengths. It's good to know what you're good at, good to know exactly how you contribute the sparkle to your business.
But what do high performers focus on? Is it their strengths? Or something else?

Breaking down a little further our last episode on resilience, today I discuss vision and how it affects leadership.
The key ideas explored in this episode are:
I also refer you back to my interview with Karen Howley, Canadian Immigration lawyer, who provides an example of how having a clear vision enables you to push through more challenging tasks (9:28.5)

And I discuss my friend's business as she exemplifies living her vision every day in the creation and use of non-toxic and amazing bath bombs and assorted products (*not a paid ad*). If you're interested in checking out her products, you can go to https://www.etsy.com/shop/SudsScrubsSoaks

A fabulous buzz word right now is "resilience" but what is resilience and how do you know if you and your business are resilient enough to survive today's challenges?
In this episode, I take an overview of the five traits common to resilient leaders. It's a holistic view which means there aren't any cute lists rather, a discussion of a range of characteristics; I set the stage here for upcoming episodes which will take a closer look at each trait.
*Yes, there are statistics, and the links below are provided for more information on my facts and figures.*

I'm a mom, I run a side hustle business with a small team. I cook, clean, teach, and I created this podcast as part of a new business plan. I edit, produce, write, speak...and I am learning as I go. And I bet you have a list as long as - or longer than - mine. So how does everything get done?
Magic pixie dust?
Nope. I have developed a 4-step system for time management and in this episode I break it down for you. There is nothing in this system that you can't start today and everything will help you breathe a little easier, knowing life (such as it is) is under control.

This is an interview with Karen Howley, herself an Irish immigrant to Canada, on how she fell into law and found her calling in Immigration law. A good friend of mine, this interview was my chance to explore Karen's background and dig into why she operates her law practice the way she does - all under the guise of helping my listeners out. This interview is a bit longer than my previous episodes but it is well worth your time as Karen clearly communicates her guiding beliefs and successful strategies, and explains how she willingly landed in Central Alberta in January.
For more information about Karen or to discuss questions on Canadian Immigration, running a business, or networking opportunities, please contact her at [email protected]; view her website crtlegal.ca; or follow her on Facebook @CRTlegal.ca
