Sue has been a pension actuary for over 30 years, designing retirement plans for businesses with anywhere from 1 person all the way up to 50,000 or more! She is also licensed as an independent life insurance agent, and an independent investment advisor representative, but her focus is retirement plans, and helping business owners decide which of the nine retirement plan options is best for them. Monarch was founded as a way to combine her financial background with her passion for helping and educating people, and her independence allows her to sift through a wide range of possibilities and base her recommendations on the one thing that matters most - her client's goals, objectives, and dreams.
Not only is Sue the CEO/Owner of Monarch Financial Advisors, but also an author of "The Poppy Principles - Living Your Life To Leave A Legacy."
Do you ever wonder what leaving a legacy means to you?
In this episode, Sue defines two types of legacies – a warm legacy and a cold legacy. A cold legacy, or a short-term legacy is financial gain at the cost of a life lost. You may think of money, beneficiaries or a 401k. A warm legacy, or a long-term legacy are memories passed down to future generations, memories of someone who warms your heart and makes you cry, and someone not forgotten in time.
Sue’s Grandfather, Poppy left Sue and her family a warm legacy. In her book, “The Poppy Principles - Living Your Life to Leave A Legacy,” Sue takes you through the “5 Poppy Principles" and how living these principles will inspire you to leave a legacy for generations to come.
1) Cherish What’s Important
2) Be Present
3) Take Time for Yourself
4) Don’t take Life (or Yourself) too Seriously
5) Have some Vices (or at least a few quirks)
In this heart-warming episode we cover everything from legacy, sharing your passions with people you love, authentically showing up for yourself for good or for bad, and community impact.
How do you want to be remembered by the people you love most?

In this episode, Emily talks about the importance of releasing extreme dieting and how we can take aligned action in our personal journey of health and wellness. In typical "Emily fashion," she provides tremendous value in this episode! Not only does she share an abundance of knowledge on health & wellness, but she also reveals her top 3 tips for creating a successful business. Her ability to embrace fear, welcome risk, and take aligned action is admirable.

Marilyn embodies the definition of Wonder: A feeling of surprise mingled with admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar or inexplicable.
With a background in education, social work, and farming, Marilyn takes us on a journey of connecting with earth, body, and soul. As an adolescent, growing up in a rural community, she begins to question the world around her. It wasn't until later in life the answers began to reveal themselves. At the age of 42, she encounters an epiphany - a moment of grace that reconnected her to "source energy." Marilyn tells us about surviving the tragic loss of her husband and the importance of raising her daughter to trust her emotions and intuition.
Farming and Food Awareness are Marilyn's passions. She talks through the benefits of permaculture gardening and how Community Supported Agriculture can serve our local communities and it's farmers.
Marilyn also shares the work of Sue Morter, Master of Bio-Energetic Medicine and Quantum Field visionary. She takes us through her evolutionary experience in working with Sue's Energy Codes and how it enlightened her perspective on human connection and authenticity.
