Today, my special guest is Marian Nielsen Joos. She’s a Shamanic Healer, Master Face Reader and Chinese Medicine Practitioner. Marian is a passionate healer and soul seer who is thrilled to support heart-centre people on their own healing journeys. She helps them make a transformational shift - a deep inner process that leads to outer success in both business and life.
I was really interested to talk to Marian about power. Firstly, because she has come full circle in her own life, breaking free to live her soul's purpose as a shamanic healer. Also, because Marian has a gentle, positive energy, which helps our conversation to go deep. Enjoy Marian’s unique energy and insights during this episode.

In this Conversation About Power I'm talking to Dana Gita Stratil. Dana Gita is a voice expert, singer, voice coach and voice healer, with a company in Switzerland called the AVA Voice Academy. She works with local clients in person and international clients online.
She loves to spend time with music and sound and being in the mountains. She is a teacher of teachers and a healer of healers with over 35 years of experience.
A long time ago, Dana Gita discovered that her voice was her healing instrument. And once she'd worked out how she could help heal herself, she started traveling around the world to learn that all that she could from experts. This was long before you could access any of this information via the internet.
In this episode, she talks about the connection between power, creativity and helping others and that there are rules for harnessing and using power in a conscious, loving way. Enjoy Dana Gita’s expertise in this conversation about power.

In this Conversation About Power, I'm talking to Darja Hvala from Slovenia, a friend and a burnout coach. We start this conversation talking about re-polishing your purpose after burnout.
Repolising your purpose is a beautiful metaphor because burnout is like you've given all your power away, your body's has no power left, your batteries empty, you've got to start again. Darja really understands this process. She observes and analyzes what's going on in herself and the others, and has a very gentle, loving way of looking at the world.
In this conversation, Darja's talking about her own experiences with feeling powerful and powerless. She also shares what feeling powerful feels like for her as a burn out coach now. There are some big, big differences. And we'll also explore how people feel about power if they've been on the receiving end of the misuse of power. So, if you have a very strong negative reaction to the word power, why not listen to this conversation? Because I think this is really going to help you uncover exactly why that is.

In this Conversation About Power, I'm talking to Inge Verdaasdonk. Inge is a social worker, local politician and coach who I've known for many years. She works with older children and adults who experience life problems. Above all, she loves analysing problems and helping people solve them.
In this conversation, we talk about where Inge and I met, which was quite an unusual place to make friends. We talk about our shared experiences with power imbalances, and how we reacted very differently to what we experienced.
She shares her positive perspective on power in politics (let's face it, it's good to hear about positive perspectives of power, especially when it comes to politics.) You're going to find out a lot from this conversation about anger, about politics, about power imbalances, and there's some personal stuff in here to enjoy too.

In this Conversation About Power, I'm talking to Lenja Faraguna. Lenja lives in a tiny village with a castle in Slovenia with her husband and son. She's a marketing expert, a hyper creative and the CEO of the Radio Embassy, which is helping taking radio ads to the next level. If you ask this woman to organize something, she can do it. Give her a couple of weeks, days even, it's done and done brilliantly!
One of Lenja's core concepts is marcareting, which is how we can apply empathy to marketing and to ourselves (the two are interconnected). She’s created the 1452 self-coaching method to help you take care of yourself, so you can take care of other people. Lenja talks about this method during the show.
Back in 2017, Lenja shared a stage with Gary Vee, Bill Murray and the Freakonomics guys during a conference in Bucharest. In this episode, she talks about how she used to avoid bragging about experiences like this and how she's grown since then. She also shares that when I first asked her to speak about power, she really didn't want to talk about it. So, get ready for a fascinating conversation.

Join me as we talk about power. Not the ‘let-me-take-over-your-country’ kind of power, but the kind of power that helps you grow your business, so you can help more people. In these conversations I’m exploring what power means to others and together, we’ll be diving deep.
We all have an idea of what power is. And it’s usually not good. We talk about power hungry, power driven, power crazy. And we see this at work every day in the news - people trying to get and keep power for themselves and the whole patriarchal system that supports it.
But we need to use our power to get things done. And we can choose how to use it and how to look at it. That’s what this podcast is all about. Exploring what power means and how people use it - in their business and in their lives.
