In this episode we talk about The Bland Family Farm in Glennville, Georgia where they grow the famous Vidalia Onions. We give dates for the Vidalia Onion Festival. We talk about our favorite place in Ball Ground Georgia to buy steak and bacon, as well as locally grown vegetables.
We talk about our favorite church B-B-Q, Buttermilks Mother and Father were involved in the B-B-Q for decades. Their legacy sees as many as 5000, people pass through the fellowship hall on the day of the B-B-Q. It’s still going strong at the Oak Grove Methodist Church. The B-B-Q won’t be until the fall, but it’s never too early to get the word out. We will be passing along information as to when tickets will be available.
Buttermilk talks about March festivals in Macon, Sautée Nacoochee, Claxton, Lake Oconee, Greensboro, Blakey, Dublin, and Lawrenceville. There’s a lot going on in Georgia in March, and we aim to keep you informed.
