Lindsay Ferlito, Dairy Animal Welfare Specialist with Cornell PRO-DAIRY, and Betsy Hicks, Dairy Management Specialist with the CCE SCNY Dairy and Field Crops Team, are joined by Dr. Julia Herman, the Beef Cattle Specialist Veterinarian with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA). They discuss making culling decisions on dairy farms, what issues packing facilities are seeing with dairy cull animals, and collaborations between the beef and dairy industries that will help the whole cattle industry improve.
