  • The Problem With “Romanticizing” Your Life

Are you really enjoying the moment—or just trying to make it look good for Instagram? We’ve all been there: lighting the candle, pouring the coffee, arranging the throw blanket just so… and then feeling like something is still missing.

In this episode, I’m unpacking the difference between intentionally savoring your life and performing it. We’ll talk about why the aesthetic life doesn’t always equal a fulfilling one, and how to shift from escaping your reality to actually living it—with presence, joy, and way less pressure.

Spoiler: you don’t need to prove anything. You just get to be.

    🪞 Reflection Questions:

    * When was the last time I felt truly present and content—with no desire to document it?

    * What parts of my life am I trying to make look better instead of feel better?

    * What would change if I let go of the pressure to “make it look perfect”?

Want to stop performing and start living?

I’ve got a few 1:1 coaching spots open this summer inside Love Your Life, my private coaching experience for women who are ready to slow down, simplify, and finally feel good in the life they’re living.

Together, we’ll clear the noise, make space for what matters, and help you reconnect with the version of yourself who doesn’t need to prove or post her way to worthiness.

  • Hyperindependence isn’t the flex you think it is

When did we start believing that asking for help made us weak?

If your first instinct is to say “I’ve got it!” even when you’re drowning, this episode is for you.

We’re talking about hyperindependence—where it comes from, why so many of us carry it like a badge of honor (hi, it’s me 🙋🏻‍♀️), and how it’s quietly exhausting us.

Spoiler: it’s not always about being strong. It’s often about survival, control, perfectionism, and not wanting to feel disappointed…again.

In this episode, I talk about:

    * What hyperindependence really is (and where it often comes from)

    * My own journey of learning how to let help in

    * The connection between people-pleasing, perfectionism, and control

    * What “softening” looks like in real life

    * How to start trusting others again—and yourself

    🪞Reflection Questions:

    * When did I learn that I had to take care of everything myself?

    * What do I fear will happen if I ask for help?

    * Where am I holding too much right now—and who could support me if I let them?

🌿 Ready to stop doing it all alone?

I have a few 1:1 coaching spots open this summer in Love Your Life—my high-touch coaching program for women who are ready to simplify, soften, and finally feel supported.

We’ll work together to untangle the pressure, clarify your values, and help you feel more grounded in your life—without carrying the whole world on your back.

  • Why We Can’t Relax (and how to start)

Ever sit down to relax and immediately think of something you should be doing instead?

    Yeah, me too.

If resting makes you feel twitchy, guilty, or like you're somehow falling behind, this episode is for you.

We’re talking about why relaxing feels so hard—especially for women who’ve been conditioned to associate their worth with productivity. I’ll share why rest doesn’t always feel safe, how hustle culture wired us to earn downtime, and what it actually takes to start reclaiming rest (without spiraling into guilt or shame).

This isn’t about fancy self-care routines or a perfect wind-down strategy. This is about unlearning the idea that you're only valuable when you're doing. Let’s begin to believe that being is enough.

In this episode, I talk about:

    * Why so many of us feel anxious when we try to rest

    * The cultural and personal conditioning that makes rest feel “unproductive”

    * My own experience with rest guilt (and what helped shift it)

    * Practical ways to start reclaiming rest without shame

    * Reflection questions to gently explore your relationship with rest

    ✨ Reflection Questions:

    * What comes up for me when I try to rest?

    * Where did I learn that productivity = worth?

    * What kinds of rest actually feel good and nourishing to me?

    * What would change if I believed rest wasn’t something I had to earn?

🌿 Ready to create a slower, more intentional life that feels good to live in?I have three 1:1 coaching spots open this summer inside Love Your Life.Together, we’ll simplify your days, make space for what matters, and help you stop feeling like you’re always behind.

Thanks for being here, and remember: you don’t need to do more to be enough. You already are.

  • When Anxiety Pulls You Out of the Moment

    📝 Let’s Reflect:

This episode is for anyone whose brain has ever hit the gas while the rest of them is trying to sit down and enjoy dinner.

You know that feeling when your body is in one place, but your mind is halfway through five future scenarios—none of them relaxing?

    Yeah. That.

Anxiety disconnects us from the now. It pulls us into spirals, future problems, and imaginary emergencies. And it makes it really hard to notice the life that’s happening right in front of us.

These prompts are here to help you gently check in and come back to the present.

And as always—you don’t need a fancy setup.

Write in your Notes app, on a receipt, in a grocery list margin, or in your kid’s half-used spiral notebook from last semester. Wherever your thoughts land is the perfect place.

    ✨ Quick Recap:

When anxiety shows up, it usually means you’ve left the present. These prompts aren’t about solving everything. They’re about noticing, grounding, and reconnecting with right now.

    ✍🏼 Journal Prompts:

    * What does anxiety feel like in your body? How do you know it’s arrived?

    * What kinds of thoughts tend to pull you out of the present moment?

    * Is there a time recently when you felt really present? What helped you get there?

    * What’s something you do that tends to amplify your anxiety without realizing it?

    * What’s something that helps you calm your nervous system—without requiring a big plan or purchase?

    * When you’re anxious, what do you usually need—but maybe don’t give yourself?

    * What are three small moments today that you could slow down and be fully present for?

    * When you rush through your day, what are you afraid will happen if you pause?

    * Write a grounding mantra you can return to when your brain starts spiraling.(Examples: “I’m safe right now.” “This moment is enough.” “I don’t need to figure everything out today.”)

    * What’s one tiny way you can come back to now when things start to feel overwhelming?

✨ If this episode helped you take a breath or reminded you to be a little gentler with yourself, I’d love to support you even more inside Life, Simplified—my 12-week Voxer-only coaching program.

It’s for women who are ready to slow down, quiet the noise, and live a life that feels spacious, grounded, and true to them.

You don’t have to do it all.You just have to start coming back to yourself. We can do that—together.

  • Reimagining the American Dream

We were all handed a blueprint. Go to college. Get the job. Marry someone nice. Buy the house. Raise the kids. Retire.

And if you followed that script, you’d be happy. That was the promise.

But… what if it’s not your dream? What if you’ve been chasing a version of success that doesn’t actually feel like you?

In this episode, I’m sharing a conversation originally recorded for my private podcast feed inside The Cozy Life Circle. It’s about questioning the traditional “American Dream” and asking what happens when we realize we want something else—something slower, quieter, freer… something more meaningful.

In this episode, I talk about:

    * Where the classic version of the American Dream came from

    * Why it doesn’t reflect the reality—or desires—of so many of us today

    * How this narrative can make us feel like we’re failing, even when we’re not

    * What it looks like to let go of the old dream and define success on your terms

    * Why building a life that feels like home matters more than one that looks good in photos

Don’t forget to check out Stephanie O’Dea’s episode that inspired me.

    Journal Prompts:

    * What version of the “dream life” were you raised to believe in? Where did it come from?

    * Which parts of that dream actually feel aligned for you—and which parts don’t?

    * Have you ever felt guilty or “behind” for wanting something different? What triggered that?

    * What does your version of success look like—if no one else got a say?

    * What would your ideal day feel like (not just look like)?

    * Are there parts of your current life that you chose because you thought you “should”? What would you choose differently today?

    * What’s something unconventional or nontraditional that you’re drawn to—but maybe afraid to fully pursue?

    * Whose dream are you currently living—or trying to live? Is it yours?

    * If you could remove the pressure to explain or justify your choices, what dream would you quietly start chasing?

    * What’s one small change you could make this week to move closer to your dream life?

If this episode resonates, you’ll love what’s waiting inside The Cozy Life Circle—my Substack membership where I share more cozy, honest, heart-centered conversations like this one, plus a private podcast feed, exclusive reflections, and journal prompts to help you slow down and live more intentionally.

  • Overwhelm is a choice

Have you ever had one of those days where everything feels like too much? The laundry piles up, your inbox is overflowing, everyone in your house needs something from you, and suddenly—you’re spiraling. Frustrated. Exhausted. Maybe even a little resentful.

I used to believe overwhelm was just a fact of life. Something to endure. But I’ve learned something that completely shifted how I show up for myself and my family: overwhelm is a choice. And in this episode, I’m unpacking what that actually means, how to reframe your thinking, and how to stop choosing overwhelm—starting today.

We’ll talk about the sneaky ways our culture and internal pressure convince us to do it all, why some people seem to handle more with less stress, and how to create space and calm without blowing up your entire life.

If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of stress and over-commitment, this episode will help you see things differently—and reclaim your peace.

    Topics Covered in This Episode:

    * A personal story about perfectionism and the belief that “this is just how life is”

    * The myth of overwhelm and why it’s not about what’s on your plate, but how you think about it

    * Society’s obsession with busyness and why we feel pressure to be everything to everyone

    * Reframing your mindset: from “I have too much to do” to “I get to decide what’s important”

    * Practical strategies for editing your commitments and creating space in your life

    * Mindset shifts like “done is better than perfect” that help you opt out of chaos

  • You Don’t Have to Struggle to Deserve Your Life

    📝 Let’s Reflect:

This second episode of my private podcast is for all of us who have (accidentally) tied our self-worth to struggle, hustle, and exhaustion.

Maybe you were taught that if it came easy, it wasn’t valuable.Maybe you still catch yourself feeling guilty for resting.Maybe you feel weird celebrating something that didn’t almost break you.

Welcome to the club. We’re here to notice that old story—and write a new one.

And as always: you don’t need a fancy journal.

Grab the back of your grocery list. Type it in your notes app. Use your kid’s abandoned math notebook (highly recommend).

The important part is showing up, not making it precious.

    ✨ Quick Recap:

You don’t have to struggle to deserve your life.Your value isn’t something you have to prove.Ease, rest, and joy are not signs you’re slacking off. They’re signs you’re living.

    ✍🏼 Journal Prompts:

    * When did you first learn that struggle = worth?

    * In what areas of your life do you still feel like you have to "earn" rest, joy, or ease?

    * What’s something in your life that came easily—and do you secretly feel weird or guilty about it?

    * How do you usually react when things are easy? (Suspicious? Grateful? Waiting for the other shoe to drop?)

    * What would it look like to let one thing be easier this week—without guilt?

    * Who modeled “struggle equals worth” for you growing up? How did that shape you?

    * What new model would you like to create for yourself—and maybe for your kids, your family, your community?

    * What’s a small joy you can allow yourself to experience today, no permission slip required?

    * How does your body feel when you imagine living with more ease?

    * What’s one story about success or hard work that you’re ready to gently let go of?

If this episode landed with you—if you're nodding along thinking “Yep, that’s me,”—I’d love to support you more deeply through my 12-week Voxer-only coaching program, Life, Simplified.

It’s designed for women who are ready to slow down, create more space in their days, and start living a life that actually feels like theirs. No rigid schedules. No judgment. Just honest support, small shifts, and real conversations about what matters most.

  • Your Values Aren’t Just Nice Words — They’re Meant to Be Lived

I’ve reworked my paid subscription and have opened up pretty much everything from The Cozy Life Circle. Enjoy!

Welcome to the first episode of my private podcast—and surprise! I’m sharing this one with everyone. A little gift to kick things off and give you a feel for what you’ll get as a paid subscriber. If you love this and want more, you know where to find me (hint: hit that upgrade button 😉).

Now let’s talk about your values. Not the ones that sound good on paper, but the ones you’re actually living. Or not. No shame. This is just a moment to pause and check in.

And by the way—you do not need a leather-bound journal and a candlelit writing desk for this. Use the back of your grocery list. One of your kid’s abandoned school notebooks. Type it in your Notes app while hiding in the bathroom. I’ve done all of the above. Still counts.

    A Tiny Recap

Here’s the gist: If we say we value something (like family, peace, creativity, or rest), but our daily lives don’t reflect that… things start to feel off. Like you’re out of sync with yourself. This episode was about how to notice that gap—not to feel bad about it, but to lovingly course-correct.

    Journal Prompts

Pick one, pick a few, or just sit with them while you sip your lukewarm coffee:

    * What are 3 values you say are important to you right now?

    * In what ways are you living those values out? (Don’t overthink it.)

    * Where are you not living in alignment? Be honest. No guilt, just data.

    * What’s one small thing—seriously, tiny—that you could do this week to embody one of those values?

    * Is there a value you’ve outgrown or one you want to step into more?

    * What tends to pull you away from your values? (People, habits, mindless scrolling?)

    * What would a day built entirely around your values actually look and feel like?

    * Who or what drains you when you’re trying to live in alignment—and how can you protect your peace?

    * What value feels like it’s been knocking on your door lately, asking for more attention?

    * What’s one thing you can stop doing this week to make more room for what really matters?

If this resonated and you want more episodes + cozy reflections like this, consider becoming a paid subscriber. I’ll be sharing these regularly with my inner circle—no fluff, just real talk and warm support.
