Hey leaders! We’re here for episode 78! Team goals!
Does your team know what you’re leading them toward?
If not, you’re missing out on connecting with all the people that are driven by being a part of something bigger than themselves.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/78.
Team Goals! I know you have goals for your team. For sure volume-business-sales types of goals. You may have other goals like ‘lives changed, groups started, success clubs’ or how many leaders you want to mentor to higher ranks of leadership.
But does your team know any of this?
Have you actually stated to them, “Hey my goal is to help 10 or more of you become “x” level leaders.” Do they know this? Have you actually said the words out loud? And followed it with an invitation?
Have you done this yet? Maybe your business has taken some twists and turns. If you have done this before, maybe it’s time to relaunch this communication around your team and business goals with a fresh intent?
Or maybe you’re new to the success of your leadership role and you’re ready to embrace this inclusive communication about your goals.
Or have you maybe gotten comfortable and thought, of course they know this. I’ve said it before. I’ll let them tell me when they’re ready.
The key difference between a big business boost and a business that is healthy but steady (nothing wrong with that) or a business that may be wavering is when a leader shares their goals with their team. AND also invites potential new leaders to join them. Women who are not currently in the business.
Time and time again I hear from successful, high-achieving leaders that this was a clear and distinct shift in their business. This is when things changed. Business took on a whole different level of success when leaders embraced communicating about their goals differently and didn’t look back.
In a conversation about your work and what you do, it may sound something like “I’m building a mission-based team of fun women. Would you like to join the party?”
And to your existing team, it can be specific. “I’m mentoring ‘6’ women this year to ‘x’ rank or level of success. Would you like to be one of those women?”
Of course, you don’t have to limit it to 6, but it’s a start. And it creates a sense of urgency.
You can also communicate your team goals for volume and business. Even though there will be plenty of women who don’t raise their hand to be one of the leaders you develop, you’ve introduced the idea.
You’ve included them in something bigger themselves. The community of inclusion that you create when sharing what you’re all working toward is powerful! Regardless of what each team member does or what results they produce, you have just unified everyone together by sharing one simple goal.
It’s also powerful to share that every action or result is a significant contribution to this goal. Make sure you encourage and invite everyone to contribute no matter how big or small their efforts or results.
One team member's small contribution can be another’s large contribution. And you never know who she’ll invite as a customer or business partner that adds big or small contributions towards the goal. Right?! I know you know this.
For all you need to know about this one most underutilized FREE tool go to crazybigdreams.biz/78.
Welcome to episode 77! Today I’m giving you my key strategies to maximize results when you’re halfway to a goal! Your own goal, a goal your team has, or a goal anyone on your team may have. Any goal.
This halfway point is a milestone that is often overlooked. It holds significant opportunities for future results.
This milestone is an easy way to bring people together, celebrate, re-group, or even re-direct if needed.
You can find the full transcript at crazybigdreams.biz/77.
My first question to you is does your team have a goal? Does your team know what you’re leading them toward? If not, you’re missing out on connecting with all the people that are driven by being a part of something bigger than themselves. Tune into episode 78 to hear all about maximizing the opportunities around team goals.
For now, let’s talk about the halfway point to goals. If you’re not already taking advantage of this milestone, you’re not alone. I’m here to give you the strategies and ideas to start.
All this is trusting that you have a measurable goal and you’re tracking it so that you know when you’re at the halfway point and what that looks like. If you don’t have a goal you can track you don’t know where you’re going or when you’ll accomplish it.
Five Strategies To Make The Most Of Your Direct Sales Business Goals
Strategy number one: Give this milestone of being halfway to a goal a name.
Whether you call it the halftime show, the halfway point, over the hump, or anything else that speaks to you, it helps to give it a name. You’re declaring this is important, you’ve made accomplishments, and there’s more to come.
Strategy number two: Celebrate!
Acknowledge the success and all of the accomplishments you’ve achieved at this halfway point, by celebrating. Any way that feels celebratory to you.
Start by making a list of all the measurable accomplishments. These are things you’ve been tracking. New business partners. Volume. Groups started. Anything you have been measuring.
If you’ve been measuring behaviors, this is the time to write these down as well. Take stock of all you’ve done.
Typically, most leaders will think of new ways that can be measuring activity or behaviors they haven’t been up to this point. Great! Start tracking as you work toward the second half in route to reaching your goal.
Listing what you’ve done so far is powerful because it helps you feel accomplished. It helps you see that you have what it takes because you’ve done it. You’re doing it. This strategy gives motivation and real examples that communicate you-can-see-this-through.
Once you have your list of accomplishments, celebrate. Any way that comes to mind. Do not skip over this part! Too often, especially as leaders, we don’t take the opportunity to celebrate our own accomplishments.
This has much more to do with staying the course and growing your business over time than it does in the immediate time frame as you celebrate this one halfway point. Don’t skip this strategy! Celebrate! And mean it.
What feels celebratory to you?
Don't miss out on all of my strategies when the milestone of being halfway to your goal is happening! Go to crazybigdreams.biz/77.
Hey Leaders. It’s episode 76!
Feeling stuck is no fun. It’s this uncomfortable, something just not right, I can’t shake it, kind of feeling.
And other times we can have a bit of a blind spot to being stuck. We don’t really feel it because we’ve become sort of immune to noticing the feelings of being stuck. All too common, especially if you’ve been in a high-achieving leadership role for a while.
Let me walk down this path with you and you’ll be well on your way to getting unstuck.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/76.
So, being stuck can be sneaky. The immunity we can build to the feelings of being stuck is a very real thing.
Sometimes we can really be in a funk and it’s not sneaky at all, but this tends to look a lot more like burnout and less like being stuck.
Today I’m talking about being stuck. One of the differences between burnout and being stuck is that burnout can take considerably more time and effort to recover from.
Being stuck on the other hand can be acute or more temporary and has the potential to be immediately shifted. This can happen most commonly in four different ways.
A powerful question that reframes your thinking.
An experience, story, or encounter with a timely message that puts things in perspective for you.
A conversation with your mentor.
And the one I’m focusing on today: making a conscious decision.
Making a simple, conscious decision is incredibly powerful. If you think back to your first big experience with success in your business, it likely started with one decision. Maybe you’ve even heard others describe how they started out before they had big success.
“I made a decision.”
“I decided that’s what I was going to do.”
Now, the path preceding this decision and the twists and turns that happened prior to the decision are unique to each individual's experience.
Some have to see others succeed, sort of get passed by, if you will, to spark their own decision.
Some get angry.
Some are simply excited and full of passion.
For each person, there is a unique path that precedes the making of the decision. But the common denominator is a distinct point in time, a moment of pure clarity, this momentum of forward-thinking when all the possibility, all the hope, all the excitement, determination, and assurance come together. And a decision is made.
When was the last time you experienced this?
Recently? If it’s been a while, you would be like most high-achieving leaders in direct sales.
There’s a lot of coaching others when this decision happens. There’s a lot of waiting and wanting to work with others that bring themselves to this decision.
But when was the last time you personally had a powerful decision-making-moment like this?
Are you due for one?
If you’re stuck, this is one powerful strategy to get yourself unstuck.
What do you need to make a decision on? What is something you’ve been wavering on, in a sneaky kind of way, you’ve been stuck with it for a while? Listening today helped bring it front and center. You’re welcome.
For all of my thoughts on this strategy to get un-stuck go to crazybigdreams.biz/76.
Hi! Welcome! Welcome to episode 75. What Would Your Best Self Do? Or Say? Or Think?
I love this question for a few key reasons. And that’s what today’s episode is about. I’ll help you know when to use this as a powerful tool along your success journey.
You can find the full transcript at crazybigdreams.biz/75.
This is a powerful question. What would your best self do? It’s powerful because it creates a shift almost immediately. It’s powerful because it can re-frame almost any situation. It’s also powerful because it’s easily accessible.
I do admit it’s a bit more powerful when I pose it to my clients vs when they ask themselves. Simply because I’m there to help them navigate the answer to these questions. Especially when there can be more than one answer!
That said, adding it to your toolbox can be a key strategic option for you. Here are some scenarios when it’s most powerful to use.
When you’re in a tough situation, like when your company is making decisions and you’re not sure how you feel about it. You have this sinking feeling, this pit in your stomach where you’re just not in agreement.
Or when your company has a lot of change as an organization and it feels really unsettling and you’re not sure how it’s going to all shake down. Or maybe when you feel strongly they could be supporting you and your team better.
Ask yourself, what would my best self do in this situation?
Here’s a different scenario. When you’re mentoring key team members and they’re simply stuck. They have a good case of the negatives and they’re just not moving on from it.
When you have potential team members that decide to go with a different company, ugh that’s so tough and yet not uncommon.
Ask yourself, what would my best self say to my team?
How about when you yourself are in a place of real uncertainty? You’re really overwhelmed from feeling spread too thin like you’re not where you want to be as a leader for your team.
Or have you recently started over? You’re in a whole new spot with a lot of work ahead of you. There’s some fun and excitement happening, sure. But there are still moments when you have strong doubts and real questions.
These are all key moments to ask yourself How would my best self think about this? How would my best self get through this particular day?
Connecting with your best self holds space to remind you that these are circumstances. They don’t define you as a leader. You absolutely have what it takes. You can rise to the occasion. You can always have your own best interest at heart more than anyone else ever will.
You can access this by simply asking yourself What would my best self do? What would my best self think in this situation? What would my best self say?
It will require you to be humble enough to realize, you may not be acting, thinking, or speaking as your best self would. That’s not easy to do, my friend. It requires a good deal of humility and self-awareness.
But when you can realize this, and you do, you then have to pause long enough to reach for the question. “What would my best self do?”
You get to change course. You can change course. You can create a shift. You can realize I’m in charge of me.

Hi leaders! We’re here for episode 74.
Ok, I know at first glance weakness is not a popular topic. It’s not exciting. It’s not trendy or entertaining or even interesting really. But as crazy big dreamers and high-achieving leaders, there are qualities that set you above the rest.
This is one of those qualities. Leaders that take the time and thought and put the work into knowing what their weakness is, most certainly experience the results from this.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/74.
What I’ve learned about high-achievers in Direct Sales is that they tend to think about their weakness in three different ways. As I share, think about which one you relate to the most.
The First is Unenlightened. Some leaders simply don’t fully know what their weaknesses are. They focus on fun, what they enjoy, and what they’re good at, and quite simply don’t give it much thought or attention.
Indifference is what comes to mind for me here when I come across leaders that it’s simply not on their radar.
The Second is Avoidance. Some leaders know what their weakness is and they simply avoid it. Altogether. No shame, friends. If this is you and you’re listening, awesome! You’re in the right place. Stick around. And great work for engaging on this topic.
The Third and I would argue this is probably the most common, especially for leaders at your success level, is they are well aware of their weakness and they dwell on it.
They think about it all the time, they know when a situation arises and it hits point blank on a particular area they just ugh are so aware of they think about it and think about it and overthink it and ruminate about it.
Here’s the thing about weaknesses. They can seep into our thoughts and we mentally sort of beat ourselves up about it but don’t necessarily take the time to sit down and address it.
You are not alone. Incredibly common.
Let’s think about weakness as anything that gets in the way of your strengths.
We can’t be strong in every area. Not every skill or characteristic or leadership quality can be a strength. It’s simply not possible.
Therefore, each and every one of us has a weakness.
Weakness “fixing” does not lead to success. This is a myth.
The strategy that can set you apart from the rest is that you
1 You know your weakness.
2 You embrace it.
3 You learn to manage it instead of trying to fix it.
You want to get to know your weakness just like you know your strengths.
The difference for leaders taking themselves and their business to the next level is that yes, of course, building your strengths leads to success.
Managing your weakness also leads to success.
It starts with reframing for yourself the whole concept of weakness.
You simply have to know what yours is if you’re going to manage it. And by managing it, you lead yourself to more success!

Hey leaders! Welcome to episode 73! I’m so glad you’re here!
Today we’re talking about leadership. We’re talking about you as a leader.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/73.
I base my entire VIP coaching experience, a high-touch, high-value experience on the belief that:
The leader you’ve been to get where you are is not the leader you need to become to get where you want to go.
I wholeheartedly believe this. I say it at the beginning of every podcast episode!
Not just because I’ve been in a variety of leadership positions myself, or because I have a degree in Organizational Leadership, or because I’ve worked for a variety of leaders in my past that, well, let’s just say they were examples of how not to be an effective leader.
And I’ve also had some leaders that were shining examples of becoming the leader they needed to be.
But also because, as a leader of people, in the unique entrepreneurial role each of you is navigating, you simply have to continuously grow and develop as a leader.
There is a direct relationship between growth and development as a leader and the growth and development of your business. If you look back, you can see this. Right?
So why would we anticipate that future business success, like next-level success, would happen if we do not grow as people and as leaders?
Well, I’ll tell you.
Most leaders have already exceeded results in their business that they ever thought was possible.
Most do think “Well of course, for the business to keep growing, leadership and personal growth would need to happen as well."
Here is the key! The big, big difference is that most leaders believe that personal growth and leadership development come after the business grows or while the business is growing.
Is this you too? Ok, it makes sense. I know.
But I’m here to invite you to shift that thinking. At this point in your success journey; at this point in your growth and development as a leader, consider that your leadership growth needs to be addressed first, in order for your business to grow to the next level. In order for that stretch goal to come to life.
Because the leader you’ve been to get where you are is not the leader you need to be in order to get where you’re wanting to go.
Especially when you’re growing other leaders, and growing your business, and helping them grow their businesses, and helping them grow and develop their leaders. Whew! See what I mean?
There is more to learn. There is more growing to do.
And I hear you saying, “…but Tammy, I’ve learned SO much and I’ve been on this personal development journey since day one. You have no idea how different I am and how much I’ve grown. I don’t recognize the person I used to be.”
And I’m telling you, I know. I know you have. And I 100% believe you. You completely have learned all.the.things. And you’ve grown in ways you didn’t even know you would or could.
I know.
Don't stop here! Please, continue with the rest of this important topic on becoming the leader you need to be. Go to crazybigdreams.biz/73.
How do you navigate a big change in your schedule? When kids get sick when they break for the summer when it’s a holiday? Maybe if you’re welcoming a new baby or you have a parent moving in with you.
Whether you know a big schedule change is coming, or whether it’s something completely unexpected, it serves you well to take a minute to regroup.
Today I’ll give you the top 4 strategies other high-achievers in direct sales do when they regroup for a schedule change.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/72.
In an ideal world, it will serve you well to embrace the fact that your schedule is going to change. Get yourself to a place of acceptance.
And if you’re simply stuck in a place of resistance and dread, if you’re fearing the impact the schedule change will have on your business, know this is something almost every leader has to navigate.
Go ahead and let the process of working through these 4 strategies help you get unstuck. Know that your business doesn’t have to stay the same. This schedule change can enhance it in ways you possibly didn’t see before.
You’re about to get creative. Creativity can unlock ideas that you weren’t looking for otherwise.
A change in schedule can invite needed change elsewhere. Schedule changes typically force us to spend less time on our business. This always results in efficiencies. I promise you!
Four Strategies To Navigate Less Time In Your Direct Sales Business
Strategy number one: Priorities.
Take a fresh look at your priorities. Like really, is everything on your schedule that you’ve been doing, something you have to continue to do?
Maybe it still needs to get done, but who else can do it? Take a fresh look and truly sit with each thing.
Do you really need to start that home remodel? Do you really need to take that trip just because you have every year? Do you? And maybe these are the two priorities you want to move other things around for.
What are three to five most important things that you personally need to have as a priority?
Quality time with your kiddos? Spouse or partner?
Opening time for travel?
And what about a big business objective!? Yes, this can and likely needs to stay as a priority. Great! I promise you, you will be more efficient with even less time.
What Are Your Personal Priorities As A High-Achiever In Direct Sales?
Strategy number two: Create a “fun” list.
What’s a fun list? It’s a list of events, experiences, things to do, places to see, people to visit, and food to enjoy. Keep your mind open to things that don’t cost money.
What are the fun things you want to do in the near future?
This list will include fun your kids want to have (with or without you). Include them when you create the list.
Create a “fun” list for yourself!
And especially, create a fun list for your business. Something you get to look forward to during the coming weeks or months that help keep a spring in your step and help you jump out of bed each morning, as you navigate this schedule change.

Welcome to episode 71! Can we just talk about money for a minute? I mean, so many think it’s taboo. Yet, it’s a necessary thing!
Today my goal is to help you get acquainted with how you feel about money. How you really feel. Because it absolutely impacts what’s coming your way. Yes, in terms of money.
For the full transcript of today's episode go to crazybigdreams.biz/71.
First, know there is a difference between your money mindset and wealth. And here at Crazy Big Dreams, we are focused on wealth.
If you haven’t yet taken a listen to episode 4 “Why Wise Wealth Is The New Money Mindset” I recommend it.
It will help start the shift in mindset from money to wealth.
Today is dedicated to the topic of money! Because yes, there is still a currency that we use to exchange goods and services. Until there is a different means for how this part of the world goes 'round, we need to keep using money.
And because it’s a necessary thing, we absolutely have a mindset about money. Like, it’s taboo to talk about for one. Not here. Not today.
So, how do you feel about money? Really?
I find it fascinating the creator of Harry Potter, JK Rowling, is worth over some 600 million pounds. She is the first self-made billionaire author in history. She still worries about money!!
You guys. I mean…
We have this thing with money. We have thoughts. We have feelings. It’s vital that you get to know what yours are because you can absolutely influence these thoughts and feelings in a way that serves you.
So, do you have positive thoughts and feelings about money? Is it a big stressor for you?
Certainly, life circumstances can influence our thoughts and feelings about money. Divorce. Home repairs. Buying and selling real estate. Taxes. Being asked by friends and family to borrow money.
What about the experiences you’ve been afforded for you and or your family? Trips you’ve taken. The schools and sports and self-care you’ve invested in.
I mean, so much revolves around this whole money thing.
So, how do you feel about it? Do you notice what your thoughts are related to money as you go about your day-to-day life?
I have this personal values exercise I do with my clients. I had a client, when we started working together almost ten years ago, one of her 4 personal values was wealth. Back then, she was pretty concerned about money.
It was a big source of stress for her. She would call quick, last-minute meetings with her accountant to run numbers, in a bit of a state of anxiety, concerned she didn’t have enough if different scenarios played out.
She was being conscientious for sure. But she also had this, as she described, this anxiety that was unfounded. She was always completely fine, financially. After she would meet with her accountant she would tell me ‘I had nothing to worry about.’
Her views, her anxiety, and her mindset around money and wealth progressed over time. Because she was intentional about it. She really grew in this area and it was remarkable, and actually quite fun, to do the work with her and see her growth and development. Not only how her mindset grew, but also how her wealth grew.
It is no accident that these two have a direct correlation.
For the most powerful question about your future with money go to crazybigdreams.biz/71.
Hello savvy leaders! Welcome to episode 70! Today I’m sharing the one thing that surprises me most that I hear from high-achieving direct sales leaders!
I kept hearing this time and time again and I’ve been truly, really surprised. This surprise of course makes me genuinely curious. I thought it would be important to share with all of you in the event it helps even just one of you.
The comment that really makes me curious is when I hear “I need clarity on what it is I’m actually going after.”
I was so surprised the first time I heard this from a high-achiever in direct sales. I’m referring to those that are at the top tiers of their companies. And I’ve heard it time and time again.
So, I came from a place of genuine curiosity to unpack this for myself and I thought I would share from my perspective what I’ve gathered based on what I know about the different leaders that have expressed this.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/70.
First, I had to ask myself, what is it that surprises me about this statement? Again, I was hearing “I need clarity on what it is I’m actually going after.”
I realized I was confusing this with goal setting.
Then I had to remind myself that there is a difference between setting goals and having clarity on what it is you’re actually going after. Because these two things look and sound similar, don’t they? But they can be different. Entirely different.
You may set a rank, trip, or volume goal. You may set goals around how many emerging leaders you’re working with to build businesses. But having clarity and assurance around what you are truly going after is different than this. And it’s not automatic.
A goal can be set around something specific and measurable. Right? Like a trip. Where, when, and how to earn it is spelled out. And those things are pretty clear.
A goal can be put out by your company or something you come up with yourself. A family trip. A second home. A major renovation. An experience for your family.
But what you’re truly going after can be more ambiguous. It can take a bit more work to get specific and measurable with what you’re going after. It’s more about what you want for your life. And this can be big to unpack.
When I work with my clients we spend intentional time and exercises around getting clear on this.
This is a highly individualized experience. Of course, because what one person wants for her life is unique to her.
The other point, or pattern really, revealed to me was that more success brings more choices. What a gift! And what a challenge.
Many times leaders have been working so hard, head down, doing the work that when they pause, look up, celebrate, and acknowledge their accomplishment, life looks different. Typically very blessed in many ways.
And it’s a new vantage point, a new perspective, a new opportunity to ask “What is it that I’m truly going after?”
Let me offer this. Many times the first step in this process is to value and use what you know you are not going after. It will absolutely always give you clarity on what it is that you are going after.
So if you need clarity on this, first, recognize what you’re going after is different than your business goals.
For all the rest on getting clarity on what it is you're actually going after go to crazybigdreams.biz/70.
Hi leaders! This is episode 69. A Direct Sales Leaders Antidote To Overthinking.
Ok. Can we overthink things, or what? Are you an overthinker? Ugh. I totally am an overthinker at times. The rabbit holes we take ourselves down sometimes. Right?! Well, we’re in good company. It’s a thing. And I guarantee you have emerging leaders on your team that are skilled at overthinking.
The problem with this, well, it’s many, but one problem is it doesn’t matter what we might be overthinking. It stops us in our tracks. We get stuck. We get in our heads and can’t move forward or can’t keep moving forward.
In this episode, I’m sharing the powerful strategy, your antidote to overthinking. Let’s make sure you’re not missing one important piece.
You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/69.
Your antidote to overthinking is simplicity. I’ll say it again. Simplicity. It’s that simple! Ha. Simplicity is the opposite of complexity. It’s the opposite of intricate or complicated, or a burden.
Simplicity is the opposite of what we bring about when we overthink anything.
Two strategies to keep in mind here.
The first is the one important piece I want to ensure you’re not missing here. And that is, what is simple for you may not be simple for an emerging leader. What you view as simplicity may not be what she views as simple.
And this is an important difference to get in touch with. Because if you’re mentoring and guiding with action steps and accountability or systems, really any tools you may give your team, they may not be simple for them.
For example, so many in direct sales use social media to do their business. For someone who has solely used social media for anything but this is not always simple. I know this is hard to wrap your mind around.
But you’ve seen how some new team members go about social media in a way that’s not the most effective.
When we’re embracing simplicity, we have to find out what is simple for her. She needs quick, consistent wins. I’m not saying do what’s easy, but do what’s not complicated.
This brings me to my second strategy. Ask her. Ask her what she views as simple. Use this question to quickly get to what is simple for her.
“If we’re focused on what you can do that feels simple for you, what is that?”
Let her give you the answer to how you can mentor her. How you can help her? She’ll uncover exactly what is not complicated. She’ll share what comes simply to her. It will quickly help her shift from overthinking and stuck, to activity. To doing something simple to get her back on track.
That’s it. It’s that simple. When you have a team member stuck in her head and overthinking, you will, because every leader does, use these two strategies.
One, remind yourself that what feels simple for you, or any other team member, may not be what feels simple for her.
Two, ask her one powerful question. “If we’re focused on what you can do that feels simple for you, what is that?”
The next steps are then clear. You have what you need to support her and guide her. You have what you need to be the mentor she needs. Look, her answer can change over time. Right? So keep asking it when it’s timely and be open to her answer being different.
As each emerging leader grows in personal development and success, what she feels is simple for her will also change. With your guidance.
