This week, I had a conversation with Daniel Hubbard is a London based interiors stylist and art director. Daniel is the owner of Small Batch Goods. An online store of small-batch interior products that support independent makers, small companies and charities. Daniel set up Small Batch Goods to counteract the increasingly fast-paced and throwaway culture by providing quality products that are meaningfully crafted products made to last. I was drawn to small batch good's ethos and stance on sustainability, supporting and telling the stories of creatives doing good through their journal.
It was a real joy to listen to Daniel's wealth of knowledge and advice. On this episode, we discuss Daniels' role as a freelancer and business owner not only focus on only making a profit but also doing good. We discuss the revival of the craft industry and supporting independent makers in the UK. We touch on the concept of slow living with a focus on wellbeing and conscious buying. Daniel offers some insight into collaborating with makers and artisans, forming strong and profitable partnerships.
