The . Mat was an illegal bookie who wound up taking bets from Ippei Mizuhara. Ippei was Shohei Ohtani's interpreter and was secretly stealing cash from Shohei to pay off his debts. In June 2024, he admits that he placed about 19,000 bets over a two-year period and accumulated over $40 million in debt.

Mathew Bowyer, pleaded guilty in August to running an illegal gambling business, money laundering and subscribing a false tax return. He is finds out his sentence today, the same day this show airs.

Marc dives into the history of exploring how the New World Order (NWO) faction in professional wrestling blurred the lines between fiction and reality, influencing American pop culture, sports, and even politics. The book argues that the NWO's groundbreaking approach to storytelling and its ability to manipulate public perception made professional wrestling a necessity for understanding contemporary culture and paved the way for figures like Donald Trump to be a household name.
