Religious rights are under attack and it's often happening in the public square. It's not just religious rights, but parental rights as well where the state has become the surrogate parents and, in some instances, they're actually pitting children against their parents.To discuss where America currently stands on such issues, Jim welcomed Brad Dacus. Brad is president and founder of the Pacific Justice Institute. Their mission is to defend, without charge, the religious freedoms, parental rights, and other civil liberties of individuals who cannot defend themselves. Brad previously served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Phil Gramm and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas, School of Law. He's testified before the U.S. House of Representatives and before the California State Legislature.When you review this edition of Crosstalk, have a notebook handy because Brad presented a lot of great information including:The recent elections, particularly in Ohio, and the defeat on abortion there. On the national level he noted how it's one thing for the Supreme Court to say that it's OK to kill the pre-born, but when the people have the opportunity to decide, then the culpability goes way up. But be forewarned, he also indicated that God allows levels of culpability to rise prior to judgment. Brad has a phrase he uses. It's "spiritual death camp." He uses it to describe public schools and how they're very different from years ago as they're brain-washing youngsters, right down to the Kindergarten level.The legal recourse parents have when girls have to deal with boys in locker rooms or compete against them in sports.

Jews are also being targeted all over the world, including within the U.S.Israel's response to the Hamas attack is called, "Swords of Iron." As Chris described it, even with pressure from the global community, Israel's response in her defense is one where the nation can't give up. They can't do what's been done in the past such as begin an operation and after that a cease-fire is declared. They need to make a statement, not only to those who embrace Hamas, but also to Iran, that they will no longer put up with their "proxy" in Gaza.While rockets being fired from Hezbollah is a concern, Chris believes the biggest deterrent in the north is the presence of the U.S. in the Mediterranean. This sends a message to Iran and Lebanon, even though we're seeing attacks on U.S. bases in the region. He believes Iran may actually be telling Hezbollah to "hold back" and not attack because he believes Iran may be waiting to see the outcome of the war between Israel and Hamas.

There was anti-Semitic graffiti left on several buildings and shouts of "Allahu Akbar" were heard. The White House fence was also vandalized, yet in the midst of all this, there was only one arrest.The leader of the Iranian-backed, Lebanese terrorist group, Hezbollah, threatened Friday to exact revenge on the U.S. for supporting Israel. In Iran, the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said in an address on Iranian TV that death to America is not just a slogan, it's a policy. Usama noted that the worst is yet to come. We have millions of Muslims in America and all of them believe in the same Qur'an, the same Allah, the same Mohammed and the same ideology. Many of them are merely pretending to be American.

He was heard yelling, "Free Palestine" and "Kill Jews." --Several Jewish students were attacked and injured by a pro-Palestinian mob at Tulane University.--Maine Governor Janet Mills said yesterday that 18 people are dead and 13 were injured after a gunman opened fire Monday evening in multiple locations in the town of Lewiston, Maine. Police have a warrant out for the arrest of Robert Card.
